Are you in favor of the UFC implementing a zero tolerance policy for refusing a drug test? I understand the commission is in charge of the testing but the UFC can cut fighters if they want and I think they should.

Yes.

The worse the punishments are for cheaters the better.

I agree. But why not also make it a rule that test results are made public - as in Vitor?
Could they have picked a more ironic substitute?
A guy that has been caught and then missed a title fight, very recently, due to a test that will not surface.

Edit: I am not an apologist for Wanderlei, I just find the situation funny.

no reason for them to. just let the commission handle it that isn't the UFCs job.

if i avoided a random or set drug test, i would be fired so yes, its fair

Exactly this.

If an employee refuses a random test at any place of employment, they can be fired for it 99% of the time (I only say 99% of the time because if i said 100%, there would be someone posting some obscure lawsuit that probably still resulted in termination of the employee but they got a nice settlement).

Only if they implement a zero tolerance policy for failing a drug test.

Legalise all drugs.

"Stop the war on drugs, stop the war on drugs"

"What do we want"

"Free drugs" lol.

I don't know why I wrote the last part.

i think they should have adopted a zero tolerance policy 10, 15 years ago.
Seems like it would be too little too late now with the amount of fighters caught repeatedly using different substances and allowed to continue. but i guess they gotta start somewhere.

worse thing is we even need to have this discussion as to whether they should adopt this policy.

Ironically, If the employee takes the test, tests positive, and puts him/herself in rehab, the employer can not fire them. Its actually a law in some states.

I'd love to see a bunch of super roided fighters going at it. We'd probably start seeing a lot of deaths in MMA, but the Just Bleed gods would be satisfied.

It is not as easy as it seems. Of course the UFC have to be anti-ped to the press And commisions, but if they make it too hard to avoid the tests, all our favourite fighers will be excluded.

Taking a test when you are on something is facing your situation like a man and being honest about your failure. Running from a test is cowardly.

I have to take a drug test if I want a job at a fast food place and if I were to refuse they would laugh and throw me out. If I have to take a drug test to flip burgers they definitely should when drugs would directly impact their profession.

Yes, but you don't need them to repair injuries or build muscles to avoid serious damage. We all want clean sports, but It is much more complicated In combatsports.

Even at amateur fightsports that involve kicking, PEDs Are vital to have a long And active career.

If they make it too difficult to pass tests, the sport will disappear.

So you want people to be punished for being cowardly and not for breaking the rules?
