TDA mentioned this fight somewhere else so I thought I'd start this...Can't say I've seen Zaveck fight more than what I've seen on Youtube, but I think the main factor here is where Berto's head is at after that war he had with Ortiz...he didn't get blow out but he suffered some serious adversity and came out on the short end of the stick...will is mess with his confidence to engage...will he improve now that he has lost a match...or is Zaveck going to prove that he is in fact really championship mettle in this bout?
Berto can win this on hand speed alone if he is willing to make it a bland fight of potshots and moving around the ring a lot. Then again he might feel the need to impress and get into a slug-fest with hopes of a highlight reel KO...
I think Zaveck has to be patient and time Berto to stand a chance, odds are even with being the better technical fighter he won't get off first, so he might have to make this more of a poor man's Pacquiao vs. JMM sort of scenario IMO where he times and counters the faster Berto...
Also one of my favorite fighters to watch is fighting that same night (not sure if its televised, I doubt it) Randall Bailey who it seems has been fighting IBF eliminators the past two years is likely going to get the title shot against the winner...He is possibly the best pure one punch guy I have seen in person with that right hand...I would love to see Berto vs. Bailey if the Haitian can get by Zaveck...I don't think anyone stateside would air Zaveck/Bailey...but they would show Berto/Bailey...
