Valve did little until lawsuits and media attention became too much and forced them into action.
It was the Phantomlord situation that made Valve act not the civil lawsuit.

He could have sold his $300K Mclaren if he was hard up for cash....
Rest in hell piece of shit.
Condolences to the family. I don't know how people recover from such senseless tragedies.
I doubt he owned it.
Are csgo skins purely cosmetic?
Multiple people went down for skin gambling/scams in CSGO a few years ago. While some of them made a large windfall and appear to have been sparred by the legal system. This involved owners posting videos on youtube of their "reaction" to winning expensive items on their own websites. The rigged rolls lured underage kids into gambling (and losing). Valve did little until lawsuits and media attention became too much and forced them into action. Some of these heathens branched off and reformed as similar ventures to continue the scams. Their demographic focuses on naive children, therefore, they maintain large popularity on youtube in spite of past practice. Youtube too focused on politics instead of protecting the kids!
Manners on the internet, are the sign of an unhinged human being.
my neighbor when i lived in texas had his wife, 2 kids, mother and dog all killed by a drunk driver. They don't.
At most they survive and cope.
