fuck that

4:50

Roll out of bed, don gym clothing, grab my keys and wallet and I'm outta there.

Post workout.

And I guess I'm exagerating a bit on the times... it's more like 5:15-5:30 to an hour after I get there. Sometimes I'll eat an orange before I go. I'll edit my original post to reflect a more accurate time table. I feel dishonest and dirty.

this week its:

sunday - conditioning
monday - nogi
tuesday - nogi
wednesday - gi
thursday - could be either gi or nogi, dont know yet
friday - nogi
saturday - rest

see, now it looks like your altering space:time by completing a 1 hour work out in 15 mins

tut tut tut

I can do that. I'm a senior moderator. When they gave me the Ban Hammer, they also gave me a secret decoder ring, and a Space-Time modulating amulet. I don't like using the amulet that much though, cause... well amulets are kinda gay.

upon using the 'HAMMER OF THE MODZ' do you change into a mythical entity to strike down those that infringe sherdog small print

or is it more of a 'i will ban you with my hammer' kinda deal

I won't ask about the amulet

Urban: Don't you train in some combat sport?

Me:

Monday: MA from 1930-2030

Tuesday: 1100: 3mile run in 25min, pyramid pull-ups superset with pushups, ab rollouts, light bag work.

Wednesday: MA from 1930-2030

Thursday: 3mile run for time, pyramid pull-ups superset w/ pushups, abs, bag work

Friday: Probably nothing, because I work Thursday night from 1800-0800, and I'll probably be a bag of shit come 8AM. Unless Accelerade/Greens+/B-50 and a wackload of coffee can help me.

Nice topic, kind of like those "what are you listening to?" threads on music forums.

In a perfect world where I'm not a lazy bastard...

Monday: 3 miles hard cycling, 15 minutes jump rope at speed, dynamic stretching, 2 hours of heavy bag training - getting through both side of Bas' Thai-boxing tape, and throwing about ~500 kicks off each leg, as well as working on general power of all strikes. Stretching, then another 3 miles of hard cycling.
Tuesday: Same again
Wednesday: 3 miles hard cycling, stretching, then weights for about 90 minutes. Stretch, 3 miles of cycling.
Thursday: See Monday
Friday: See Monday
Saturday: As Wednesday
Sunday: Collapse in deranged agony and wonder what the point of it all is.

Of course I'll lose the odd day here and there due to the interventions of circumstance and people, but that's pretty much my dream week. Once I get a job it'll change heavily.

yeah, working is teh sucks when it comes to training

Do you do all that (cycling, tapes and cycling) all in one go, or do you split it out throughout the day

All in one godless session. I cycle into the gym, skip to get the rest of my body warmed up, do the dynamic stuff to get ready for the striking, then do side A straight through, with exercises in the rest periods. After that I rest for about five minutes, then start up again working on precision technique and power, and once I run out of ideas I commence on side B, throwing a lot more than the instructions (a 2 becomes a 3, and so on). Once that torture is over I mess about on the bag, maybe working the odd flashy technique, until I remember that I hate doing spinning kicks and then stretch and cycle home.

Does that look kosher, in your professional opinion?

Looks fine to me mate

If I was you and not working, I'd do that in the morning and go training (sparring etc) at night

but thats just me :D

Monday - squash + stretching
Tuesday - rock climbing
Wednesday - mountain biking
Thursday - gym climbing + swimming -> rush home to watch Spike
Friday - rest
Saturday - mountain climbing
Sunday - light bike ride

Are you serious about your location?

Huh. reminds me I have a nice squash raquet collecting dust, and a squash court not being used at one of our fire halls.

Your extra-curicular activities could very well make you one of the guys I work with, for all I know, lol..but no MA training?

I live in a western province that is blessed with mountains so I get out there as much as I can during the summer. Lots of time to hit the gym once the temperature drops and the rains start to come.

Squats can wait 'til November.
