Your thoughts on Ronda/Miesha 2?

Doesn't matter how many time she tried she would never beat Rousey. Everyone else she could come back and beat or have a chance to beat in a rematch
she'd have a chance sure, but she still got her ass kicked by multiple other women and would be the underdog in most of those fights if they fought again.

Hell she beat Holly and even Vegas knew it was a fluke

Tate got dominated on the ground and beat on the feet except it wad not domination, that's the only thing she had = not being dominated on the feet and people are talking as she was winning the standup... Her smile for comming into the 2nd round just shows that it was all she wanted to do

LOL whatever dude. She didn't get her ass kicked by multiple women. Your a newb I get it

Zingano didn't TKO her? Ronda didn't break her arm then submit her in a 2nd fight? Nunes didn't absolutely steal her soul? Pennington didn't beat her down with a jab? Kaitlyn Young didn't KO her?

What world are we living here? McMann even kicked her ass but Meisha pulled off the W in that fight so I'll let it go.

I disagree with all due respect, that sub against Holly was the epitome of a hail mary. She has lost to Zingano, Nunes, Ronda, almost McMann, Kaufman and Pennington.

I don't really care if she's competitive, she was always put in a better position than she should have been because she's decent looking and has a history with Ronda.

If Nunes beat Ronda then Meisha still wouldn't have been champ and it'd have nothing to do with Ronda, she just matched up kinda well with the girl who beat Ronda.

it was the hail mary we all knew could happen though, and for a time, before she lost to nunes,it was really just Ronda that was in her way. I agree that things have changed in that division now though. I think i can give credit to miesha for being tough comparitvley to alot of the other girls. She didnt fold easily, but tough aint enough against someone with Ronda's skills.

I am wondering this as well, I was under the impression that she was getting beat everywhere against Ronda but reality was, she was doing an ok job standing up. But then she kept going for takedowns and kept getting tossed around.

If she kept it standing, she may have had a 50/50 chance to beat Ronda but on the ground, she got owned.
Ronda does hit hard. Miesha may have looked better on the feet than on the ground, but I think that after tasting a bit of Ronda's power, Meisha was like "fuck it".

I'd rather be skilled and be somewhat tough than be tough with hardly any skills if I'm being honest.

She actually put up a good fight. Annoyed like hell how she kept going for takedowns though, despite how Ronda kept repeatedly countering them with a judo throw.
this is kind of a myth, Miesha and her fans have always took pride in surviving with Ronda for a couple rounds and I've never understood it.

Shit was retarded. I remember Meisha running in to get judo tossed over and over and over even though she was doing fine on the feet.

yeah,we have seen ronda railroad people when she wants. she basically carried miesha into the third. miesha did better when it was an emotional back and forth battle like the first one. Ronda just kept it cool, and didnt give her those openings.

It's hard to say how much of it is that and how much of it is Miesha losing her drive, it wasn't just Pennington that looked good but Miesha who looked bad and timid in that fight and Nunes can knock out/finish any girl on the right day including Ronda, Holly or Cyborg.

Of the ones she hasn't fought, I wouldn't put Pena or Val definitively over a peak Tate and she did beat Holly the one time they fought.

I re-watched the fight since its posted on UFC channel a week ago and for some reason I had a distorted memory of the fight. I assumed Ronda beat her ass all over the place but seeing it again, I noticed the stand up was even.

Anyway, here is the full fight:

Before the fight, Miesha said she couldn't lose via armbar to her rival a second time.

And then she did.

It certainly appeared Ronda was in Miesha's head in the worst way.

That is true, its hard to say if Miesha was getting rocked but its a shame since she was doing a decent job but then again Ronda does have the power advantage.

Really bad game plan by Miesha, repeatedly running into clinch situations with a top shelf judoka, not smart

Werdum has lost numerous times too and he's considered one of the HW GOATs, Miesha proved she was top tier and could hang with the best (except Ron).

I didnt think Pennington looked good at all to me. You have someone losing heart like that, why dont you finish her? She should have tried to inflict way more damage. It takes two to make a boring fight like that. However we are seeing other fighters like Nunes,Shevchenko etc who could probably beat miesha even on her A game.

She really didnt have a choice, thats her style.

Nunes certainly could, as I said she could finish anyone but she has the cardio weakness so it's not a guaranteed win. Valentina hasn't even fought a grappling specialist yet so I'm not sold, we'll see when she faces Tate's heir to the WBW wrestling throne in Pena.

Nothing makes fight IQ shrink faster than a few hard shots to the head.
