If he loses to Machida. I like both, so I'm staying neutral on this one. If he were to lose would the jump back to MW be a good decision?

He would have a better chance of being champion at 170.

He's only had 1 bad MW fight, so i think it would be a good move for him. If he loses to Machida, he'll have a better chance of fighting Silva than he does Jones.

Nah, I like him at 205 plus if he loses he won't contend for the title and there are several more matchups we'd rather see at 205 for funs.

No. He has never looked as dominant at mw. Even in PRIDE he looked lackluster at 183. He had two close fights with Misaki going 1-1. He looked terrible against Shields and has said he doesn't want to cut down unless it's for a title.

I think he would be the number 2 of the division

I think the cut has a little too much detriment on his cardio these days. He's looked better at 205

He looks far more ferocious at LHW. He can make 185 but it's clearly not his optimum weight. I'd say almost every performance at 205 has been better than his fights at 185 since he moved up to KO Wand (excluding Bisping I suppose).

He has more KO's, but i feel it's more of a styles matchup kind of thing. He should have lost to Franklin imo.

Yeah. Plus, he isn't getting any younger and most will say cutting weight gets harder with age.

wouldn't mind seeing Hendo drop down, but I think there are more exciting fights for him at lhw. If Machida wins, and fights and loses to Jones again, I'd like to see him drop down and dominate the mw division

The cut kills him now. I doubt he'll ever fight at 185 again. Remember how awful he looked again Shields.

He had close fights with everybody at that time, including at LHW. It is not random that he was called Decision Dan.

He lost to Shield because of gas problems that did not happen on the Palhares or the Bisping fights for example. On the other hand he gassed horribly against Shogun and Vera at LHW.

The Shields fight is evidence that he can no longer comfortably make 185. At least at 205 he can last a few rounds before gassing, he's spent after just one at middleweight.

I'm not bothered which weight he's at.
