This is going to be a stupid question, i'm sure. Could Intermittent fasting, or the warrior diet, work for a athlete who trains twice per day?

You probably won't like this answewr, but it depends on how your body responds to the diet and your genetics/recovery abilities. In general, I don't think IF will work extremely well with that training frequency

Yeah, you can. Depends on how your schedule comes together though, and how much you love coffee. This is what my schedule looked like.
8AM - wake up
9-11:30AM - classes
11:30AM - first workout, fasted
1:00PM - eat largest meal
6:00PM - train again
7:30PM - eat another meal
Usually might have another snack sometime before 9PM.
or I would do this...
7AM - wake up
7:30AM - train, fasted
9-11:30AM - classes, drink coffee
11:30AM - train again
1-9PM - eat largest meal post workout, keep eating until 9, maybe work out again

Berkhan says that training without BCAA while fasted is a waste of time.
Strong statement, given that many athletes train in a fasted state.

Yes Berkhan doesn't know anything about training fasted! It's not like he created an entire site and training regiment around it or anything. *_*
What is BCAA. I thought it was just a brand that sold glutamine.
I always have this scrawny 100 lb kid telling me to take glutamine and protien to get big... *ignored as always*

Does not make him always right. Many athletes still train in a fasted state and do quite well. So it is fairly easy to object to said statement.
I have a site, does not mean I do not make mistakes. And calling training in a fasted state "worthless" is clearly a mistake. Hell, even my creaking old ass can manage it.
Training is initiated on an empty stomach and after ingestion of 10 g BCAA or similar amino acid mixture. This "pre-workout" meal is not counted towards the feeding phase. Technically, training is not completely fasted - that would be detrimental. The pre-workout protein intake, with its stimulatory effect on protein synthesis and metabolism, is a crucial compromise to optimize results. The 8-hour feeding phase starts with the post-workout meal.
I think Berardi's latest study on IF shows his people training 2x daily, no?
I don't know if your talking about his really long one or not, but I don't remember that.
Yes... but 10g BCAA doesn't fuck up the fast. It's essential amino acids, as you know by your other post, to build muscle and recover.

I personally rarely lift fasted - so I don't even own BCAA - but I trust Berkhan's research and demonstrated results.
