Is this something only for bodybuilders or can it be useful for S & P?

I was wondering about the effectiveness of non-failure drop sets too. Anyone?

Heavy lifts need full rest and devotion.

I "ALTERNATE" between bench press and BORs on my bench days. Supersetting sound like your going for "teh pump".

I guess it depends on your intended goal for supersets.

Metcon, great.

teh pump, teh ghey.

I use them to get through my lighter assisstance work faster on some days when I'm pushed for time in the gym.

I superset pretty much everything except for squats and deads. Leaves me breathing hard and sweating my balls off. I'm not able to knock off as many reps, which I take in exchange for conditioning and being able to perform a greater range of exercises within the same amount of time. Makes me feel as though I'm working hard too, gets me in the right mindset. If you feel lazy and your mind wanders taking five minute rests, you could try mixing it up. Supersetting is especially great for light rehab work.

Also, I think your current level of conditioning is a pretty important factor as well. If you're sucking wind and can't even get close to the amount of reps you could perform with a nice break, it's probably a good idea to work on your conditioning seperately.

I enjoy throwing in a superset a few times a month on my quads and lats. I usually alternate between a set of leg extensions or curls, then immediately jump to the squat rack. And I always stick it near the end of the workout, for obvious reasons.

Eh, I do supersets sometimes, just to break up my normal routine and help my conditionin'... Prolly could do a lil more often... Then again, I dont hardly rest much between sets in the first place.
