First Event you saw and Format
First Live PPV you Saw (where)
First Live Event you attended
First Fighter you were a big fan of (has that changed)
First Fighter you really despised (has that changed)
Any other firsts:

First Event: UFC 1, but I saw it in 1996. I rented the VHS from Hollywood video.
First Live PPV: 1999, UFC 19 - Maurice Smith vs. Kevin Randleman. I saw it at Britannia Arms (a bar) in Cupertino CA. Interestingly, it would be a long time after that before I ever found another bar that showed a UFC and I think it was the first and last time that bar did.
First Live Event attended: 2003, UFC 43 Randy Couture vs. Chuck Liddell. My now ex - girlfriend bought us the tickets. We fought the whole way to Vegas and barely ended up attending the actual event. I'm so glad we did though, it was a good one.
First Fighter you were a big fan of: Easy, Royce Gracie. I'm sure that is mostly true for just about everyone that started at UFC 1. I also really liked Remco Pardoel back then as well. But Royce was my favorite for sure. I still like Royce, but I don't hold him in as high esteem as I did back then.
First Fighter you really despised: Tank Abbott. Over time, I don't dislike him as much, but still not a huge fan.

If you can think of other MMA firsts, feel free to share.

I think the first event I ever saw was UFC 89.
First Live PPV was Silva/Maia.
StrikeForce, Fedor/BF.
Fedor, that will never change.
Possibly Askren.

So what you're saying is, you're certainly no TUF Noob.

Congratulations.

Congratulations.

I don't think I need to prove that in a post, my join date is 2002. And at this point, if you joined due to watching TUF 1, you aren't a "noob" anymore. Hell, there are people that started by watching TUF 1, started training, and have since become professionals that have competed in the UFC.

first fierce fist-pumping fwap

Britannia Arms is good shit, I prefer the one in SJ

1998, ufc 1 from video update store in NH
2006, ufc 54 I believe
No live events yet
Probably olden days randleman or Anderson
Matt Hughes, then maybe chael, then dude that kicked out the limo window, Jesse taylor?

First Event I watched was hughes vs carlos newton when I was 12 with my dad.
First Live PPV was Diaz vs Condit.
First live event I attended was ufc 155 in Lav Vegas with my brother.
GSP
none

First Event you saw and Format No idea
First Live PPV you Saw (where) I think the first I actually watched live was Forrest vs Rampage
First Live Event you attended UFC 171
First Fighter you were a big fan of (has that changed) Wanderlei - still a fan, not my favorite
First Fighter you really despised (has that changed) Tito - no

I was around 16. Someone showed me a Pride event where I watched Nick Diaz lay a whoopin on Gomi. I was so amazed that fighting styles varied so much, Nick was clearly using his stamina as a weapon. I realized I didn't know shit about boxing which is the only thing I had ever trained till then either.
Than I simply youtube'd "vale tudo" (I think Bas Rutten mentioned it in the commentary) and saw how much heart Yuki Nakai had; being stomped IN THE EYE!
I felt like a bitch and have been training ever since.

First events I saw were some random King of the Cage dvds I bought at FYE, first live event was UFC 52 at my friends house, GSP became my first favorite that evening with the epic beatdown he put on Jason Miller, even then I had the feeling he was a future champion. I became a fan of Matt Hughes that evening but he would go on to become the first fighter I despise and he remains on that list. I've been to local fights but never attended a UFC event, I live in Colorado so they aren't in my neck of the woods often. I think the altitude can result in a sort of lackluster card in which most fighters gas prematurely so I can't blame them. How about first ppv you ordered? For me it was UFC 58, had to see that GSP vs BJP fight

Any other firsts:

UFC 50. Saw it on Bravo.
UFC 85 was the first event I attended.
Ken Shamrock, Robbie Lawler and Andrei Arlovski - it's changed.
No one.

First exposure: some ultimate knockouts dvd my buddy had.
Live ppv: don't remember, caught a few fights here and there.
First event: ufc 73, free tickets, row 14, had no idea how hooked up I was unuytil I went to buy tickets for another event.
Maybe Wand or Fedor. Yes and no.
Despise is a strong word.
Went with my pops to his first event, ufc 117.

1. I was watching the tv show on nbc called "the contender" and my friend said mma is way cooler then boxing and had a vhs of vitor belforts best fights... and told me to watch the ultimate fighter 1. so I watched it..

I watched just the tv show for years and never bought a ppv other then ufc 61...I believed the hype.

the card that made me a fan forever was ultimate fightnight 5. Silva vs leben.. from then on I pretty much watched all the mma I could and started training a year later so 2009. (already had boxing experience and wrestling in highschool.)

2. me and my friend bought ufc 61 because we both wanted Ken shamrock to wreck tito lol

3. never been to a live event pricy.

4. Anderson Silva and fedor when they showed best of pride on spike Anderson is still my favorite Fedor has phoned it in since pride so I stopped caring a while ago.

5. I don't like Jon Jones... but idk why... I don't like how he fights and he sounds like an idiot when he speaks

First Event you saw and Format / UFC 12 in 1997 or 98 on VHS

First Live PPV you Saw (where) / UFC 43 Vendetta

First Live Event you attended / Untamed 20 Full Force - Jon Jones 1st fight ironically and Tom Lawlor beat my guy Travis Bartlett

My 1st UFC event was 103 in Dallas. fun experience but I much prefer local MMA for the intimacy. 130$ gets you in the nosebleeds @ UFC.... 100$ will get you cageside at a small venue.

First Fighter you were a big fan of (has that changed) GSP impressed me in handling Hughes at UFC50 even though he got caught w the armbar. Georges is still a favorite. He has set a tremendous example and been a great ambassador for the sport

First Fighter you really despised (has that changed) Tito. Still skeeves me

Any other firsts: I ref'd my first MMA bouts this year. Pretty incredible experience

First live event was a king of the Cage in Rockford, got to see Mac Danzig get tossed around by a local wrestler Clay French, before Mac made it to the TUF house. First time I felt like I could just stop watching MMA and always be content was the first time I got to see Fedor fight live. I got pictures with almost every single one of my favorite fighters, Aoki, Lawler, Henderson, Arlovski, Miguel Torres, got Mousasi's autograph and got to fist bump Shawn Tompkins. best night of my life, and to cap it off Fedor Decapitated Rogers.

First event: Borrowed some VHS from my coach, the one I remember is UFC 15 with Couture vs Belfort.
Live PPV: UFC 57
Live event: Besides my own early kickboxing/MMA fights, WEC 49.
Fighter I liked: Ortiz. It has slightly changed. The more access to his personality, the less I liked him. But I still find myself cheering for him in fights out of pure nostalgia. Actually a bit excited for tomorrow.
Despised: Liddell. Through no fault of his own, he had a strong fan base that annoyed me. He also had a rivalry with Tito, obviously.

UFC 46 Chuck vs Tito was the first fight I saw back then. I didn't watch it live but it was the first MMA fight I saw and became a fan of Liddell and thought he was the baddest fucker on the planet and became my favorite fighter until I found out about PRIDE and Fedor and everything changed for me. Till this day Fedor is still my favorite fighter and it will never change.

gonna leave it just to ufc to make it simple

1 cant remember what number it was but frank shamrock vs tito for middleweight belt(blockbuster vhs......went back and rented 1-14 within 4 weeks)

2 wanna say randy vs Belfort 2 but I cant remember(stupid eye lid cut)-buffet bar(WHY the memory is foggy)

3 never had the opportunity (place I live in doesn't/hasn't hosted any ufc events, had opportunity to attend a wec event, then life got in the way)

4 oleg taktarov-poor mans fedor

5 guy Metzger- annoyed me.......not so much now

kinda crazy on BOTH their parts

storm-has gotta expect tito shooting double legs all fight and hes gonna be giving up at least 30lbs(grappling isn't the strongest aspect of his game)
tito- is gonna get shitted on whether he wins or loses.......if he wins "its just cause he was so much bigger" if he loses , alotta people who don't know shit about shmlenko are gonna run him into the ground

First Event you saw and Format – UFC 1 but living in Australia it took 2 years for the VHS copy to be released
First Live PPV you Saw (where)- Bought UFC 42 which was the first PPV available in Australia
First Fighter you were a big fan of (has that changed) – I follow the sport first so admire them all but I always liked Paul Varlance
First Fighter you really despised (has that changed) – The drug cheats – Overeem, Cyborg etc. I sadly turned off Big Nog after he complained after both the Frank Mir losses
