Oh man, you did not just bust out with the Donkey Kong Country. That video game series, and that song in particular is the GOAT. Music is so enchanting I can't even describe. Just makes me depressed that I don't live in that world. All three games on SNES are amazing but I'm partial to DKC2 with all the pirate baddies.

I want to link videos to every fucking song haha but here's three of my favorites!

I came here to say Megaman 2. It was just 8 bit metal. I went to a 'Metal Goes Nintendo' night at the University here years ago full of local metal bands playing Nintendo songs and it was fantastically nerdy.

That song is played on an underwater shipwreck level so that sloshing is actually ambient background noise for the stage haha. But yeah I wish I could play guitar 10% as good as that guy does!
