not a horrific year for movies, but I think starting in 2010 we're going to be like...

I went with IB, but feel bad for Watchmen. It was as faithful of an adaptation as you could make of the graphic novel and I enjoyed it, but after watching it in Iraq on DVD, I felt like it was 3 hours of my time I could have done something more productive with. Maybe instead of doing in one shot, they could have stretched it out in 2 or 3 films, but that's me spitballing it.

I think I've only said this once before, but this year kind of sucks.

There are only a couple of movies from the whole year that I would call GREAT (Iglorious Basterds and Dragon Tattoo) and then only a handful more that I even would care to watch again.

really weak year, there are at least 3 movies from 2008 that i would pick over anything in 2009

chose inglorious basterds because it was both entertaining and had great cinematography

dat opening scene in the farmhouse with the milk was top tier kino

If Snyder relaxed on his overusage of slo-mo it wouldn't feel like that.

WATCHMEN is a perfect comic book that does not translate into film; the story itself isn't very special -- it's the format and form that elevates it and endures.

Black Dynamite proves that you can make a spoof of blaxploitation films by making a normal blaxploitation film.

Easily one of the funniest films of the 2000'nds.
