A lot of dreck, but a tough call between a trio of outliers:

Idiocracy
Ricky Bobby
Little Miss Sunshine

Bruh, you made a big deal about Borat and then didn't even vote for it. . .

I had already voted for The Depahhted. If it comes down to being that close, you can make the +1/-1 adjustment.

1. Pans Labyrinth
2 The Departed
3. Prestige
4. Children OF Men
5. Talladega Nights
6. Apocalypto
7. Borat
8. Casino Royale
9. Rocky Balboa
10 Idiocracy
11. Little Miss Sunshine

All the above 3.5 stars and above

Very solid year among the 2000s behind year 2000

I think the poll will be dominated by The Departed

I need to rewatch United 93. I remember thinking the style of the film--documentary-style camera work, only no-name actors used--felt very original.

9/11 was still fresh in my mind at the time, and United 93 provoked a lot of emotion.

This one is tough. I'm going with Casino Royale, my favorite Bond movie. Tough call between that, the Departed and Borat. 10 years later, any time I say the words "my wife" I have to fight the impulse to do it in Borat's voice. I have to figure that's a permanent problem at this point.

The Prestige, Illusionist, Children of Men, Pan's Labyrinth, are solid second tier, then comes everything else.

Toss up between The Departed and Blood Diamond.

I'll give it to Blood Diamond as the better movie, but The Departed has the edge on rewatchability.

Pan's Labyrinth is one of my favourite films. Anybody who hasn't seen it yet needs to. Apocalypto, The Departed and Blood Diamond would be my runners up.

This year has a lot of movies I need to watch again.

My favorite is probably Inland Empire

Honorable mention to Children of Men, The Host, Little Miss Sunshine, Pan's Labyrinth, Paprika, and Talladega Nights.

Also honorable mention to Forrest Whitaker in The Last King of Scotland. The movie was pretty good, but Whitaker was outstanding.

If anyone voted for Rocky Balboa, please send your address to me so I can ship you a ninja in a box who will cut off your head upon opening it.

It was a tough choice between Idiocracy and Borat. But Idiocracy edged it out. I actually liked Bruno much more than Borat even though on Da Ali G Show, Borat was my favorite character.

Toss up between blood diamond and casino royal for me. Went with casino, ask me tomorrow and it could be blood diamond.

A Scanner Darkly was great, probably my favourite of the year. The Departed was good. I loved Children of Men.

I picked pans labyrinth

Maybe the only movie I went by myself to go see at theatre. Fantastic film.

My favorite is not in the polls.........or even listed below the polls........ I am low-low-brow.

BEERFEST

My vast array of number 2's would include:
Borat
Talladega Nights
The Departed
American Hardcore
The Prestige
The Lake House

Tough call between Casino Royale, The Prestige and 300. I can't discount Apocalypto or The Departed either. Casino Royale is probably my favorite Bond movie. 300 is just an awesome work of art. But I have to go with The Prestige. Not sure why, maybe it's for Nolan's portrayal of Tesla, or the dark and eerie backdrop of turn-of-the-century London. Solid cast, all the way down to Andy Serkis.

1. The Prestige
2. Casino Royale
3. 300
4. The Departed
5. Apocalypto

Tokoyo Drift!:)
It brought something different to the franchise.
