None of these are really jumping out at me, but ultimately it came down to The Prestige vs Casino Royale.

I think I gotta go with Casino Royale, but on another day I might pick The Prestige.

I went with the Prestige. I enjoy good mind fuck movies and this was a great example of one. There are a few that I enjoyed, though. 300, Silent Hill, the Departed, Apocalytco, Casino Royale, and Crank were things to enjoy.

It was down to Apocalypto, Rocky Balboa, and The Last King of Scotland in the poll. I went with Rocky Balboa because I was anticipating the shit out of that movie before it came out.

However, United 93, The Davinci Code, and Clerks II all deserve a shout out. I might have voted for The Davinci Code if it was in the poll. Borat was also shocking but funny. Hills Have Eyes was a well-done rip off of Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Havent seen many of those. I will say that I wouldve selected Borat as a poll option.

I probably should've put Borat on the list instead of Superman Returns. I think my curiosity over whether or not someone will actually vote for Superman Returns got the better of me.

I'd edit it, but the system won't let you change a poll after it's up.

I need to rewatch United 93. I remember thinking the style of the film--documentary-style camera work, only no-name actors used--felt very original.

Surprisingly strong year with a lot of films I would deem perfect in their executions.

PRESTIGE - exact
APOCALYPTO - rhythmic
CHILDREN OF MEN - symbolic
PAN'S LABYRINTH - phantasmagoric
CASINO ROYALE - proper
MIAMI VICE - muscular
IDIOCRACY - prescient
LIVES OF OTHERS - tight
PERFUME - lush
STRANGER THAN FICTION - neat
THE FOUNTAIN - transcendent
THE FALL - picturesque
BORAT - gut-busting

And those are just the ones I liked.

Already addressed that. It won't let me edit the poll.

If you want to edit it and toss out Superman Returns and put Borat in its place, then feel free to do so. Or toss out Idiocracy. Either one.

Toss up between rocky balboa and 300. Rocky won

Apocalypto but Departed and Babel are great.

Man, I love these threads, but they make me realize how much time really flies...

Crank was great. A Scanner Darkly too. The Hills Have Eyes remake was surprisingly decent as well. My fav of the year though is
