Your "Favorite Films of 2016" List

Okay just reviewed the ones I've seen that were actually from 2016. I'd probably go:

1. Hacksaw Ridge
2. Nocturnal Animals
3. Captain America: Civil War
4. Hell or High Water
5. Hail Caesar
6. Captain Fantastic
7. The Nice Guys
8. The Jungle Book
9. The Lobster
10. Star Trek: Beyond
11. Batman v. Superman
12. The Neon Demon
13. The Girl on the Train
14. The Accountant
15. Everybody Wants Some!

Though I'm missing a couple of key entries I totally meant to watch but haven't yet.

Sleepaway Camp
Conan the Barbarian
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Top Gun

...oh wait, you mean films that were released in 2016? I got nothing.

"arrival" tops my list and there really isn't a close second. i don't watch many movies though.
I've prioritized watching LOBSTER and SWISS ARMY MAN, but I don't pretend either approaches ARRIVAL's aesthetics.

I hear great things about MANCHESTER BY THE SEA but I doubt I'd be able to withstand fullbore Lonergan. Even YOU CAN COUNT ON ME was tough for me.

Haven't seen any of these movies. New baby so haven't even been to the theater. Was hoping some of these movies have been leaked online but it doesn't seem like there are a ton of screeners like there usually are around this time. Anyone else notice this?

i don't remember what your avatar was before this one, but change it back.

The Handmaiden
In Order of Disappearance
Nocturnal Animals
The Nice Guys
Green Room
Hell or High Water
Elle
Sing Street
Neon Demon
La La Land

See Neon Demon in your selections. Awesome.

Sully. Good acting from Hanks and I like true story movies.

Very good movie and well acted, a lot better than I was expecting it to be.

The only thing I remember watching this year was...

Hands of Stone (Not epic, but an overall decent boxing flick)

10 Cloverfeild Lane (Great movie if you go into it knowing nothing about it like I did)

Deadpool (Not usually into these kind of movies, but it was pretty sweet)

Bad Grandpa (Hilarious)

Uhh... Bad Grandpa was 2013.

Hell or High Water wasn't bad.
