I've been watching a few oldies and I really love the look. La Jetée is up there for me 12 monkeys is based on the story. Psycho is brilliant. Browning's The Unknown is great. He is best known for Freaks. But The Unknown is much better story wise. There are loads of brilliant ones but I think that my favorite is still Das Cabinet Des Dr. Caligari In before the Schindler's list crap.
It's a Wonderful Life I watch it every Christmas and love the message and the story It's one of my favourite movies of all actually! It's a must see. The whole movie follows the life of a guy who always acted selflessly to build up to a glorious finale that makes my wife cry every year
My all-time favourite movie is 'This Sporting Life' which happens to be in b/w. It stars Richard Harris, the guy who sang Macarthur Park.
Something like... Schindler's List Fail Safe Seconds Raging Bull Citizen Kane Clerks Dr. Strangelove Nosferatu
"Seventh Seal" by Bergman left a deep imprint on me that I'll never shake off. I think it has to do with the time in which I saw it & the proceeding turn my life took. & I've yet to revisit it. Shout out to "Fire Within" by Malle & "M" by Lang & to Kurosawa
