Before you were a sherdogger, what forum or what part of the internet did you hang out?

Myself personally, I started with dbz forums discussing the goat anime and later I would hop around various forums with no forum to call my home until I found sherdog.

I became a sherdog poster and the Mayberry forum saved my life in 2009 but unfortunately I had to stop posting because of an incident in the heavies. The incident was, I along with many gsp fans/penn critics became victim of this idiot mod named positivebalance who had a raging hard on for Penn. Getting banned was enraging since it was completely uncalled for and many of us never did anything that warrants getting banned and ofcourse he is no longer a mode because he went apeshit and we ended up as causalities.

Later on I moved to bodybuilding forum but their off topic section is anti-women posters which is understandable to an extent but other than that, that forum was played out for me. Anyway, I decided to see if I can register and give this place a try in 2013 and so far so good.

Gamefaqs, but I lurked there more than post. Then I became active on Gamefaqs and TestYourMight (Mortal Kombat site) when I played that competitively while I was still posting on Sherdog. Now I'm only active on Sherdog. So sherdog has survived the test of time for me while others phase in and out. Sherdog is GOAT

None really. Lurked back in 04, made an account in 06 where I forgot my password & email add that I used., moved to another site where I'm still active with 35k posts, stop posting in the ug because they're gay...& because I got banned. Some jiujitsu forums. That's pretty much it since I don't do the social media thing.

The only other forums I would say I regularly posted on was an old Manic Street Preachers forum and an old AMEN forum.

I actually made some really good and long lasting friends from those places and see them regularly.
The Manics forum in particular became a bit incestual as there were often meetups and there were people getting together all over the place.
I first knew of my ex through there, in hindsight i'm not sure if that was a good or bad thing!

There were a few wankers on both as usual.

The only forums I'd say I actively participated on were CS forums, since I played the shit out of that game. Domaing of Games, Sogamed & GotFrag forums. other than that, I just remember perusing eBaum's and ConsumptionJunction in the late 90's

With me being a huge movie and TV show buff, I was pretty heavy on the IMDB forums. I find I have better conversations about movies in the mayberry than I do over at IMDB.

I liked to visit the hip hop forum and UFC forum on IMDB too. Although they both turned in to pissing contests with the posters.

Ooh, I used to post on a Buffy board in the early 2000s. I forgot all about that.

And frequented YA R&S section during my mat leave in 2007-8.

I remember when MySpace used to be good, then it just went to shit for some reason.
Always seemed to be mainly people into rock/metal which was good, didn't get many chavs on there.
