Young Guns: Osvaldo Augusto Queixinho

In this week’s “Young Guns” segment, we feature a newly minted BB, Osvaldo Augusto Queixinho.

Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro Brazil, Osvaldo started training in Martial Arts very early in life at age 8 years old, first Judo ( brow belt at age 16) and then Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 2003 when he was 17 years old at the world famous Carlson Gracie school. In 2010, he was awarded his Black Belt from Augusto Mendes Tanquinho (World Champion) and Rafael Barbosa Formiga (Brazilian Champion). He loves to compete and is always looking forward to his next completion.

He just fought Tanquinho at the Southwest BJJ Championship. I don't think they went all out, especially against the guy who gave you your black belt.

Queixinho is an awesome dude. I met him when I stopped by caio's gym before US Nationals. He was the only one teaching and although he covered some basic moves, his level of detail was top notch
