Peak performance at heavyweight is an entirely different thing. 185 and below, however? Come on...

Of course, in two weeks' time they'll be looking more like these recent photos from training camp

No, just the people who fight in MMA. There's lots of techniques and stuff that are banned in MMA that could totally take them for a loop. Imagine fighting Lesnar on concrete, for example: that takedowns gonna hurt. A few GNP shots or headbutts on concrete, are gonna hurt. Mix in nut shots, throat strikes, eye gouges, hair pulling, fish hooking, a lot will change.

Don't you think they could do nut shots and eye pokes too? specially since it's not something you can train extensively in real situation, their oponent wouldn't be specially trained to do them, it's not like someone can train for years really eyepoking people to get fight situation experience.
as for Lesnar, meh, he'd get ko'ed before he could grab Stipe or DC, or Ngannou, or Volkov, or even Lewis...

IMO -- if eyepokes are allowed, someone 5'9" with a 72" reach is fucked. He's getting eyepoked from 12" away by Jon Jones and Stipe all day. Someone with 1 eye like Stipe and Bisping are extra fucked. Someone that 'plays the bottom game' is going to eye raked and fish hooked all night long. Everything changes.

Every small rule change makes a huge difference at the top. The difference in elbows and ring shape meant Cro Cop sucked ass and Fedor probably could have kicked more ass, and Ricardo Arona would be a GOAT. People thinking no rules and concrete wouldn't make a huge difference are delusional. The rankings would change entirely.

Proof that heavyweight A level athletes aren’t in the UFC. DC is a 41 yr old overweight guy who dominated most heavyweights and light heavyweights. He lost to jon jones, who us ripped, but also the least athletic of his family, who happens to be the goat.
Joe rogan has said it before, thank god lebron isnt doing mma or he’d smash everyone. Look at guys like Frances Ngannou, who is the biggest scariest HW in the UFC...he would look puny next to lebron.

Rogan also said Rousey could beat pro MMA men and box professionally. Quit drinking the kool-aid my man. LeBron gets snapped off any way a top HW or LHW wants.

It's a good picture of Stipe, as it shows humility.
