The Diego Sanchez Effect.

Reyes strikes landed more successfully than Jones for the first 3 rounds but that was not too relevant ?

I think you read my post wrong, Reyes won the first 3 imo.

Is this true ?
For example , you are getting kicked and punched constantly during the fight, but you are advancing all the time and your opponent is on retreat going backwards but kicking and punching you all the time.
If this continues during the whole fight , no matter how many times you've been hit, you are winning ?
You didnt say that in your stupid question. That's how dumb shertards are. The answer is yes you can win a fight just by advancing. You can. But reyes was fighting back. That's not 'just advancing'. Man your dumb.

Think about it minute by minute watching from the crowd though dude.

If you see 2 guys throw 15 strikes in a minute 1 landing 5 while constantly moving forward and the other landing 6.2 while on the defensive it's likely that 1.2 advantage won't even register (let alone seem significant) and you will score in favor of the guy dictating the pace based on the perception of aggression with everything else being seemingly even.

Keep in mind judges don't have the benefit of the view we do with real time stats and replays. If you're always the one backing up, whether reality or not the perception will always be you're losing unless you're out landing at an undeniably higher rate.

If advancing forward wins fights, then Maidana and Pacquiao both beat Mayweather.

When Judges dont know what the fuck they are watching (most of the time) they just give it to the guy moving forward.

If all you need to do to win fights is move forward Diego Sanchez would be the GOAT

In a 23-19 round where the opponent literally had 0 advancement, yeah. The numbers were stupid close in that round

In Houston, it's one point for leaning forward. One point for lifting your foot (after leaning forward). One more point when your foot then touches the canvas. Lol.

those kicks and punches must be weak....

based off this, u can theoretically give jones 3,4,5... giving him another round is pretty ridiculous.. although this doesnt include aggression or octagon control or wrestling... so its only a part of the scoring..

No. The rules clearly state that effective striking is the primary scoring criteria. The issue is poor judging and the commissions aren't going to do anything about it.

Id like to watch this particular fight again soon

But ive always just used the eye test when a fight is damn fucking impossible to decide. Whomever is visibly more damaged is the loser. Yeah yeah, some people scar up and some dont, but when its that close, fuck it, learn a better defense.

Afterall, thats how it always was in high school. If you come to school with a black eye, regardless of who won, you look like ya got ya ass beat.

There seems to be a lot of unwritten rules judges tend to add in. Although back pedaling shouldn't affect the scores, I think in some cases it does.

Also if you don't finish strong even if you won 3 rounds, if you lose decisively the last round, it can sway the decisions
