Thread title made in jest cause of the CVS thread but I guess you can just steal from anywhere and they dont care. These dude just grabbed a few laptops and the apple employees didnt care. Looks like customers tired to sto0 them but i dont see police or employees running up to do anything

They saying they got away with 27,000 Dollars worth of merch. How is a couple of laptops worth that dam much.

That shit cost Apple like 500 bucks to produce and they don't want a lawsuit for staff intervening on some hood rats trying to buy sneakers.

They were just trying to get home to their families.

Apple store says it all.
MacBook pros like 2500+

With the data that Apple collects from their phones, they probably have a better chance of figuring out who the criminals are than the cops.

the mall is filled with cameras, these dipshits are gonna go to jail for a bunch of laptops

i see 8 laptops on the table and it looks like guy grabs some like a phone or a tablet off the other table. so maybe that adds up to 27k. still seem high at 2500 a piece.

Edit. Ok there is a third guy at the front table grabbing stuff too. I

Employees are probably told not to intervene, it opens them up to lawsuits if the criminal gets injured.

Exactly. This isn’t fucking 1930. They have cameras. They know they will find them and be able to prosecute them.

Where I work asset protection is not allowed to touch anyone who is caught stealing which was a policy implemented a few years before I started working there. Once had someone steal a bunch of small stuff and run towards the door only to not have the sliding doors open in time and they ended up slamming right into the door, broke their nose in the process and ended up causing the sliding door to not close. The best part of it all was the fact a police officer was walking into the store just as the shoplifter was trying to leave. Was subsequently arrested and had to pay for the damages they caused

There was four of them, not just the two you see up front. They cleared nearly three tables, and the one table had 8 laptops alone. There was also iPhones.

It's an entirely realistic number. The most expensive configurations of the MacBook Pros run around $3K, for example.

The Imac Pro uses a 4K screen. The higher end Imacs do have 5K screens but its overkill. My biggest problem with the Pro and even the regular Imac is the fact that they are way overpriced for what is under the hood and under performs against custom built PC's that are half the price
