There is nothing wrong with taking a come back fight against a non-top 3 opponent. The last time Conor fought a non-top 3 fighter was Dennis Siver (Nate was a substitute).

Father Cowboy is a really 155-170 lbs fighter. Yes, he loses against very high ranked opponents but beats everyone else. He just lost to Tony (who hasn't) and Gaethe, which means for Sherdog he was never that good.

I love how people are acting like Conor is not fighting a 36 year old gatekeeper coming off back to back KO losses who also happens to not be a wrestler. lol.

Conor should win this fight 99 times out of 100. If he doesn't it's a huge embarrassment and derails pretty much his whole legacy. Stop acting like it's some huge test or statement. It's a comeback fight agaisnt a washed up beatable opponent.

How about the 2nd fight with Diaz? Believe it or not Alvarez wasn't even top3 lmao, he just had that crazy upset over RDA to win the belt, he was maybe 5th best in the division, maybe even lower.

The second Diaz fight was a rematch due to the Conor's loss to him.

Conor was the likely reason for why RDA injured himself in the final day of training and gained too much weight which caused a tough weight cut against Eddie. RDA did not take the whole "not a real Brazilian Champ; Bob and Donald" talk well. However, it is not Conor's fault that Eddie became the champ. If it were RDA, Conor would have fought him. He had even fought Khabib.
