The idea he would do anything at top 3 LHW is crazy. He would have nothing for cormier, nothing for Gustafsson and certainly nothing for Jon Jones. These guys at the top of LHW are all pretty much HWs and Whittaker fought at WW and wasn't even undefeated there.

Once Cormier gets a hold of him he'd realise why he had been starving himself to get to MW all this time.

I will say though, that he definitely beats anyone in the MW division except Whittaker. I wish he'd stop doing nothing for the whole first half of the fight then start head hunting at the end though. It's why he loses decisions.

Yoel isn't that special, if Whittaker didn't break his hand or got sloppy in round 3 it would've been a stoppage & such a 1 sided beatdown. Yoel is actually going to be small at lhw and he can't strike with a guy like GUS. From a technical standpoint Yoel striking sucks.

Whittaker won 1-2 and i don't see how you could give Yoel the 4th. Whittaker basically landed the entire round and Yoel landed like one good shot at the end.

Based on the 10 point must system, Whittaker won 3 rounds. Whether Yoel won either the 3rd or 5th round 10-8 Is up for debate, but at best this fight was a draw based on the 10 point must system.

Now, If the way fights are scored were changed..or judged as a whole similar to pride was, definitely a strong argument Yoel won this fight but based on the current system..either Whittaker won or It was a draw.
