Yoel Romero is going to smash Jacare

And it breaks my heart. Rooting for Jacare but I just don't see it.

He's going to stuff all of Jacare's takedowns and land big shots on him after it's clear that Jacare can't take him down and certainly can't hold him down.

Romero UD or zombie TKO in the 2nd or 3rd.
 
Um no. Yoel struggled with Brunson and Kennedy basicallykod him. Jacare is way better. York basically has a punchers chance
 
Neither is a clear cut winner, I would like to see Romero take it but I think Jacare has the slight edge. Both have a ton of dynamite in their hands and feet, both have great grappling credentials. For the most part, they are quite similar in terms of skillsets but I think Jacare is a bit better.

But regardless, it's a pick 'em fight IMO
 
When has jacare ever been smashed?! Kennedy nearly finished Romero. Not that there's any shame in that but jacare is on top of his game right now. Hell sub Romero

I would love to eat crow on this one but I don't think it's happening. Kennedy was outclassed everywhere outside of some brief offense thanks to glovegate. Not only that, but Romero clearly showed he has managed to incorporate much more of his wrestling into his MMA.

He may have let his wrestling go by the wayside for a bit cerca the Brunson fight but no longer.

No discounting an Olympic wrestler that beat Cael Sanderson.
 
I just hope this will be good. The MW division cant afford anymore fuck ups
 
I'd like to see Romero win but I think Jacare is too good.

He lands the harder shots and Yoel probably won't want to be on the ground too long with him
 
Also hoping that they skip on the random drug-testing for this card....
 
Yoel is the much better wrestler and athlete. No doubt about that.

Jacare obviously has the BJJ but I feel Yoel has the hands/striking.

I think Yoel catches him and gets the KO. Jacare won't be able to get this to the floor unless he pulls guard or takes his back in a scramble.
 
disagree. Jacare has become very, very good at getting inside even on guys who work hard to stay away.

and his boxing has improved exponentially since, say, his Rockhold fight. but that's secondary.

push to the fence, get inside, takedown or throw, jump to side mount, jump into mount, win round. repeat in round two, and sub. if i had to guess.

It's going to be a good one. I just don't see Jacare taking down an Olympic wrestler without a fight to be honest.
 
Yoel has nothing for Jacare.

Amongst the contenders, this is the best possible match up for Jacare.

This is an amazing fight on paper. Winner should get a title shot.
