Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't we send a bunch of conex boxes full of goods there like a week a ago, but they are just sitting in a Port in San Juan? How is this Donald Trumps fault? Didn't he also send troops there to help out as well?

Where do you people get your information? It took 3 days to get a container unloading facility open. Many trucks were destroyed. The island was hit by a category 5 hurricane. Infrastructure is destroyed along with a large percentage of the houses. The roads in Puerto Rico are covered in debris and washed out in many places. There is no fuel for equipment so they have to work from the ports inland. The Island is 110 miles long by 40 miles wide. People can't just walk to the nearest port and carry supplies home. Helicopters are needed to get supplies inland until the roads can be repaired.

What did I post that was false? People are out there bashing him and acting like he is just ignoring Puerto Rico when in fact has made an effort to aid them and sent the military and a fuck ton of supplies there. It sounds to me like some of the responsibility should fall on the shoulders of the PR government instead of the Trump Administration.

Seems like he didn't send enough. The local authorities obviously can't cope, and this isn't the time to be casting blame. Maybe they're stupid and evil, or maybe all the infrastructure is fucked and nobodies turning up to work because all their houses are destroyed. They can work that out later. The marines could get help to all those people within like 12 hours if they were sent on mass. These people are on an island, they're not going to get help from people in neigbouring states with flat-bottom boats, swamp buggies and monster trucks.

If anybody has been around Caribbean island culture long enough, it's no surprise that resources aren't getting distributed in a systematic efficient fashion.

So I guess it is Trump's fault for holding PR officials to the same standards he would hold American officials. Should have sent in a real leader ASAP.

Im pretty sure the hurricane is to blame, the mayor was asking for more help because an humanitarian crisis was looming on the island.
