News Yeah...No, Conor's not getting a USADA exemption

Until a reason is given for WHY Connor was out of the testing pool for all this time, that rule about not accusing fighters of taking PEDs who haven't tested positive is gonna be a reeeeeal hard rule not to break as a mod.

Besides, Conor admitted it.

Conor will get whatever he asks for. Dana will find a clause that states "Exempt for filming Roadhouse remake". Hate it, but that's the way it is.

What i think is that you dont get much credibility if you dont respect the rule you established in the first place.
But its the UFC which would be to blame there, not USADA.
If the UFC relied on maintaining credibility it would have gone under ages ago.

Mate stick to what you know, which is Conor's Instagram underwear posts.

Let me know when Conor sends Usman, JG, Tony, or Charles a contract, like his team sent to the 135ers.

Again, if this was rush hour traffic, your lane is "Conor in his underwear". Stay in it.

We literally have Conor and Dana's DMs of Conor asking for Gaethje in May 2020 and Dana refusing as that was 3 months away and Dana wanted at least 5 months to promote it. Exactly how does Conor get a contract when his contractor denies him the fight?

We also know he was the replacement for Khabib against Tony at UFC 249 and then COVID happened and he couldn't leave Ireland so they had to go with Justin who was in America like Tony. Justin got the fight entirely because the UFC no longer could make Conor/Tony. Again, how does Conor get a contract when his contractor cannot provide him one? You want the UFC to break either Ireland or America's immigration lockdown policies and secretly smuggle them in so that they can have an MMA fight together?

But you do you in your alternate reality where Conor is afraid to fight all these guys he either literally already fought or agreed to.

Expect Endeavor stock to drop even more than it already has if they can't get Conor a fight before August of next year

USADA should not agree to work for a company that demands final control over the testing process. What good is that? Why don't they just do it themselves and test everyone at the Performance Institute once a year?

@Captain Herb

I agree with you. They should not accept that.
That being said, the contract between those 2 entities is probably a bit more complicated.
Its possible that the UFC is not the only one to have the last word.

Did you ignore 170 on purpose or by mistake?
Purpose. He's gonna want to try and perform with his new physique for all to talk about. Unless in that 6 month testing , he loses 20lbs

Rivaling John Keats and James Joyce.

It all started when it was noted that McGregor had not been tested by USADA at all in 2022. Then, recently, McGregor claimed that he required two clean tests from USADA in order to return to the testing pool in February.

An observer noted that McGregor’s description of his plans fit very closely with USADA policy for athletes who notify the testing body that they had been taking a banned substance.

McGregor recently blew up online, raging against former UFC title challenger Anthony Smith over comments Smith made regarding McGregor’s lack of testing and seemingly bulkier physique. In that tirade, McGregor discussed the challenges involved in recovering from a complete leg fracture (which he suffered against Dustin Poirier in the summer of 2021).

USADA itself has now commented on this story. They spoke with ESPN stating that McGregor will need to be in their testing pool for six months before he can return to competition.

“McGregor is not enrolled in our testing pool and would have to be for six months unless an exception is granted, which we do not think would be applicable,” said USADA director of communications Averi Walker.

Assuming McGregor does enter the testing pool in February, and he does not get an exception, he will be cleared to compete in August 2023.
That can be waived by UFC. USADA has no control over that. This is just for optics by USADA like when they originally responded about Conor not being tested and just copy and pasted their random testing guidelines.

Yeah, I didn't know that. That's just stupid if it's the case that the UFC can just overrule USADA whenever it suits them.

It's not really overruling them. They just have the waiver option available. They have used it for multiple fighters already for numerous events. So Conor wouldn't be the only that gets the waiver.

Anthony Smith made some good points with his latest comments. Basically, you can't just leave and re-enter the testing pool whenever your feel like it. Generally, you can only leave if you retire or leave the UFC all together. You can't just leave the pool, take a bunch of peds, then wait until you're clean, and reenter the pool. It doesn't work like that.
