Kevin Lee gets a HUGE win in the lightweight division, the biggest win in the division since Conor beating Eddie. Aside from that fight, nothing significant has happened since Eddie/Conor. You saw Kevin's reaction to winning the fight, emotional and going wild. Yet the camera panned on Chiesa arguing and everyone talking about the late tap.

Forget about Chiesa, it was technically a great stoppage. Dude had nothing left and wasn't even defending the choke. He was just laying there like a wet burrito going out on his shield and into unconsciousness.

Yamasaki owes Lee at least a new pair of buffalo glasses

This was a tough one. I agree you should have let him go out or tap but Mario has a lot of experience in grappling and hate to say towards the end chiesa's arms stiffen up and wasn't resisting or fighting the choke.

As a ref you are responsible for the fighters safety and he most likely knew at that point the fight was over no need to let him pass out. I really don't know the safety issues but as a fighter of course your going to hate the stoppage because you want to go out on your shield.

I can't say I fully agree with the stoppage but I understand it and you can't hate on Mario for wanting to keep the fighters safety number one priority.
