Thats why he’s the best ref! No sarcasm! Girl was defending herself all the time, she wasn’t out, she’s outclassed but still got heart!

Good stoppage now no one will doubt VS!

And the first tap wasn’t tap, it’s reflex, if it’s tap why she won’t keep tapping? It’s not like someone’s stopping her

I wont lie, i felt mario was very progressive and considerate to trust in that girls world class mastery of her martial arts to come thru.

He was being fair
 
I'd rather have late stoppages than early ones. Should've let Nunes vs Ronda go on a little longer.

Nobody seems to be mentioning the fact that it was Dana and the UFC that put this huge mismatch together. As bad as Mario is and has been in the past, I find it funny that Dana gets so wound up about Valentina landing 230 strikes to her opponents 3 when it was partly his fault that she was in there in the first place.
 
Yamasaki refereed that fight like he had money on it going to a decision.

You can tell that Valentina felt bad as hell for the poor girl.
 
200 straight unanswered punches were all he needed to see.. Oh wait, I'm sorry, those 200 plus three attempts to tap out. You have to give him respect for really not wanting to recognize the woman's tap at the end, giving her full chance to take it back and continue on getting her skull broken..

Great job Mario. Some people might say you should be suspended 2 years for that kind of weird reffing that looked like you had some interest in the fight, while allowing a woman to get brutalized for no reason, but not me. I say great job buddy.

True. I think they got what they wanted. They knew she would get mauled..though to be fair, they probably exected it to be quicker.
