This misses a big one. China are going to re-legalise crypto whilst this US government seem intent on outlawing it. This will allow China to get a big advantage. The US economy and US investors will suffer as a result. This imho is a massive economic policy mistake.

It might be changed to switch trades to yuan and still it can't kill USD .....
Also USD isn't petro dollar. It is debts currency mainly backed up by private debts contracts denominated in USD or having USD/ currency exchange rate clauses....

Also I might agree that I will pay for diesel fuel and gasoline in yuan because Central bank of China is maintaining yuan / USD/ EUR exchange rates below real actual vaule of yuan.
