XB1 Party Chat issue

So, I had something weird happen this weekend

I was in a party with friends for RB6 Siege and I could hear them, they could hear me, our icons were "lighting up" whenever someone spoke.... and then I couldn't hear my party but my icon still lit up on the party screen when I said something into my mic, their icons lit up and I could still hear game audio through my headset but not party chat.

Is this most likely my headset? Which would suck as it's the X07s (I think) and are about a year old at most. Or is this an Xbox Live thing? The night prior to this (this even occurred Sunday night) so Saturday, I didn't have this issue. Same game, same people in the party.

Xbox has been having issues with party chat lately and it's fucking annoying (can't see invites from friends and vice versa, can't join open parties, etc.)

I would recommend checking for updates on your controller with the headset plugged in

It's a wireless headset and the controller is completely updated and based on what I can see I THINK the headset is as well.

Might just be xbox party system

Check the network settings next time on Xbox sometimes it'll tell you if it's having issues with party chat

I did and it said everything was standard. Annoying, especially with a game like Rainbow Six where communication is key.
