had his first mma fight in sengoku 5... its been a good month for grapplers in mma..

i was going to originally say that he looked pretty gassed and lothargic but then wow, just wow!
 
ya, he freaking exploded... i wanted to see the other guys eye after it was cleaned, looked nasty
 
WOW i cant believe the fight ended like that. xandre busted his eye up pretty good. im impressed with the kickboxing. i thought he would finish with submission.
 
damn, within a matter of like 5 seconds he turns that guys face to chopped meat
 
it was a good MMA debut
 
I am very happy for Xande's successful debut. I'm sure that it is a lot of pressure off his back now.
 
Great debut. Awesome that he wins his opener with a standing KO. Shows that he can really adapt. I've met Xande before. He's cool as hell.
 
hahaha nice.... xande just needs a little bit more explosiveness on his wrestling and he should go far!
 
I'm glad he won, but I thought the performance was dissapointing overall. He's the best BJJ has to offer, and he couldnt secure the armbar from the mount. He had a lot of difficultly taking his opponent down too. Most of his shots were stuffed easily.

I think out of all the current BJJ superstars crossing over the MMA, Jacare is easily the most physically gifted and has the best chance of being successful.
 
Yea, I was disappointed that he made so many attempts at shooting and most of them were stuffed. Seemed like a theme through all three rounds.

Not a bad fight though. Lots of clinches and bouts of inaction that got broken up . . . but I'm glad to see Xande has some decent striking.
 
i was disappointed b/c the guy he fought was 1-3 and a professional wrestler
 
ya, i thought the fight was getting kind of boring until that last flurry, but it is his first fight and now he has footage to go back and review and see where he needs to train harder next time
 
when is Marcelo's second fight? I hope he has better luck. It seems like a lot of top grapplers have trouble adapting to the gloves.
