WWF Vince McMahon steps down as CEO after sexual affair allegations

Good, get all McMahons out, they've ruined it long enough

vince is getting cancelled.

was only a matter of time. The guy is a huge bisexual hendonist and he definitley loved to party with his coke and roids. They didn't welcome him into hollywood but he forged his own path.

WWE is dead these days anyways.
It's crazy that after all the shady things he's done over the years this is what might take him out.

Can anyone tell me what Vince McMahon did wrong?

He entered a consensual relationship with a woman and then up'd her pay, which is the worse thing about the whole situation - people shouldn't be favoured because their banging the boss. But what did he do wrong? All reports say that him and his wife live in different states and haven't officially been together for years but stay together formally for legal logistics, so what is wrong with him getting his fuck on? Is it because Daniel Bryan's dad-in-law got in on the action too? Then why does that make it Vince McMahon's fault, it might be his thing, and where do we start questioning the paralegal? Do we just abstain her from any wrong doing and just act like she was a poor child not knowing what she was doing? She was a freaking paralegal man, that person sits all day drafting legal documents, it's safe to say that this woman clearly understands the concept of choices and made one that she believed benefited her, do we pretend that she did it because she needed the job in the day-and-age of the "antiwork movement".

It's 2022 and we are meant to be in an inclusive and progressive world, yet the internet becomes a hivemind so the depresso's of Twitter can feel good about themselves by hurting someone else through "moral justice". What a joke.

That McMahon promo was great.

There are a lot of questions, and I guess we'll eventually find out some answers, but you have to wonder why he stepped down if it's all on the up and up, or some unethical behavior at worst. Considering what McMahon has gone through over the years(steroid scandal, wrongful death lawsuits, etc), why does this have him shook enough to step down?

He did a similar move leading up to the steroid trial. That time it was Linda taking over.

That is a really good point. The WWE understands how to play the media quite well. At the end of the day they're a media company, they know what story cycles the big news outlets are looking for, and know how to give it to them. Media will start a narrative saying "X person did this" and that narrative (for media) ends when "X Person paid for it by doing ___". Then they move on...

They crave a headline that says he steps down. He gives them the headline but nothing else - that's all they want anyway so everyone wins.

A few years later they come at him again he gives them what they want again, etc.

With Hogan, when he was kicked out of the hall of fame for saying the n-word, they only kicked Hogan out to give media types the headline they want. They get to claim "Hogan is Hitler" for awhile and get some clicks/sell some subscriptions whatever. McMahon later brings him back.

He knows how to feed the beast
