The matches for WWE 2K16’s Showcase Mode are now confirmed. The list was published on the 2K forums, and it reveals that Stone Cold Steve Austin mode is going to be a comprehensive story of his entire career. The matches you’ll be playing are as follows-

Maybe, because of the roster. I haven't had a wrasslin game since 12 i think, with Randy on the cover. Used to love them tho, especially GM mode.
 
If create-a-wrester is as horrendous as last years I will be pissed.
 
I'm still setting up my Universe and trying to fill out the roster with wrestlers from 97-99 to start it off
 
So they took Hogan out because of racist coments but put a wife beater on the cover?
 
i too will wait for the reviews and career mode details. if it sounds good i'll snag it and throw it in every now and then

Here Comes the Pain was friggen awesome.. If I remember correctly Raw vs Smackdown was alright.. I think that's the last time they've made a semi-decent WWE game.

I would fucking love for 2k16 to be good, I have my doubts.

They should scrap the whole engine, just rip off Def Jam and keep the massive roster. I'd preorder and first day buy that shit every single year. I miss being excited for a new wrestling game.

.....and that TNA game somehow does have way better models than fucking new WWE games. What the fuck is with that? TNA.
 
they need to move on to just next gen. it does not look as good as it should.

If we get a career mode anything like NBA 2K then I'm all in but last year's career mode was a disgrace.
 
Yeah the graphics are fugly.

With that said.. the my career trailer looks sick.

I kinda hated last year's game, couldn't play through the My Career because it was fuccen stupid.

But with the huge roster, all the creation modes.. and what looks to be a nicely tweaked my career.. I'm interest is there.. I'll wait for the initial reviews but I like what I've heard.
 
Will not buy unless career mode is much much better. How fucking stupid to put in hours and hours and as soon as you the WWE strap the fucking career mode ends? Swear I almost punched out my fucking TV when the credits rolled.
 
I'll probably pick this up when the price drops a little. I've never played a WWE 2K game.
 
I played the WWF Attitude throwback game from two or three years ago, and was amazed that how wrestling games have made very few improvements in the eight years I hadn't played a wrestling game.

Why does Austin look like Hogan or Barry Windham?
I mean seriously, how can a last gen TNA game that came out in 08 still have better models? :(
 
I played 2k15 recently (my first wrestling game sine WCW for the N64), and it felt like ever character was stuck in quick sand. Exchanges were these infuriating mini games - "Oh no, you pressed A too early!", proceed to get my ass kicked for a minute.

Hit detection was also a huge issue. I would have a grounded opponent, but my character would target the space beside him and kick air. There were also weird instances where we were both facing away from each other, and couldn't engage no matter what buttoned was pressed.

On the positive side, it had an extensive roster, including alot of my favorites from when I was a kid. I don't really follow wrestling now, but if they can make a fun game, I would definitely pick it up.

I'm talking about 80s Windham before all the injuries and getting fat.

It'd be nice if TNA would come out with a new console game, who owns the license for that?
 
Well Midway had it and then closed down so I guess it's stuck in limbo.
Of course if we're being honest who in the fuck wants to make another TNA game anyhow?
 
No more infinite reversals. thank god. fucking god awful commentary though.

I might have pick this up. haven't played a wrasslin game since SvR 2008.

I thought SvR 2006 was way better.
