Just to name a few fighters:

    Kamaru Usman
    Tyron Woodley
    Darren Till
    Anthony Pettis
    Stephen Thompson
    Demian Maia
    Jorge Masvidal
    Rafael Dos Anjos
    Colby Covington
    Ben Askren
    Robbie Lawler
    Santiago Ponz
    Kevin Lee

    How is that even fair?

It may not be the most exciting but that's a pretty tough division

Plus plenty of unranked WWs who could beat many of the guys you listed. Let alone if you add the top WWs out of UFC.

    155-165-175lbs weightclasses are necessary

WW is better than ever, way more stacked than the division that gsp ruled

Dont sleep on my boy DHK! The ranked fighters are obviously saturated with talent and impressive for myriad reasons, but the unranked are deceptively dangerous as well. Not many easy fights in that division, even on the sea floor.

The current crop of Welterweights are more well-rounded and skilled than any other crop of WWs from the past.

Especially now that fans finally seem to acknowledge that you can't count anyone out just cause they have a recent loss or two - ( like Masvidal, Pettis etc) almost everyone in the top 10 can beat anyone on a good day.

    Nah
But there is certainly place for another division between 155 and 205. 50lbs are lot of lbs to just spread it in two weightclass

till, thompson and maia are all gone in my mind...maia is done..he's old and gone...till just got his face bashed in...he's done...the hype on him is gone for good...and thompson hasn't looked good in a long long time. rda is on a losing streak...colby is good..so is askren..and lee, I think will prove to be very tough in the future, if he gets back to his wrestling. almost all of those guys are on losing streaks...thompson has 3 losses in his last 4 fights...

Oh, and woodley has always been overated...

The depth is crazy when you consider it is also Bellator's deepest weight class

Throw Rory, Lima, Koreshkov, MVP, Gracie, Ruth, Larkin, and even Dailey in the UFC 170 as they can all mostly complete with the best too.

Most of them are one dimensional fighters to be honest . Also there are 3 fighters with more than 10 losses in the top 10 of WW.
They are so competitive now with each other unlike the GSP days when they will look like beasts until they got the chance to be inside the cage with GSP . This is coming from a GSP hater
I disagree. As a GSP hater i think that GSP would beat every WW today.
