Looks like Lawler and T-Wood are getting the next title shots.

If Marquardt can KO Woodley with his crappy TDD then Lombard most certainly can.

    WW Contendership order barring injury....

Dark horses at WW also include #10 Saffiedine, #13 Gunnar-#14 Laflare winner, and #11 Gastelum-Musoke winner...

Just for shits and gigs I'd love to see Ellenberger vs. E. Silva as well.

If #8 Maia beats Yakovlev at TUF Brazil 3 Finale, he could face any of those guys next. #12 Pyle as well. WW is stacked right now.

I see him fighting for the title in October if he beats Brown... like the article says. Dana really wants that rematch.

I think Maia has a really long road to hoe since he hasn't been the most exciting guy in a while in addition to 2 losses in a row... His back is actually against a wall in the Yakolev fight... could see himself in a Fitch/Shields/Okami situation.

Damn, really hard fight for Brown.

I'm sure the fight will be awesome, just sucks one of them has to lose.

Agreed! The Welterweight division since GSP retired has been on fire and hasn't shown signs of slowing down either.

I started a thread back in December to focus on the current Welterweight division and to keep track of the progression of contenders throughout the year. Very pleased in what has happened in 6 months so far

What a bunch of horse shit. A guy who has no top 10 opponents gets a #1 contender fight. If I was Rory or Woodley, I'd be fucking pissed. At least Lawler gets an easy road to a rematch. Unfuckingbelievable.

Which is why Lawler is fighting Brown. Easy to sell Lawler/Brown bc people are eating up the hype on Brown and actually think he deserves a title shot. I'd be very surprised if Brown ever beat anyone in the top 5.

Easy road? Matt Brown and Ellenberger in just a few months.
