No. Seemed to me like he was trying to avoid early stoppage. It did seem like Augusto would get up again, and then he just wasn't defending. He was stunned.

It was a horrible on a scale of bad stoppages it was a 9 or 10/10. And the only reason cody got that hammerfist was because when yami stepped between him nunez or whatever looked at him and was like wtf and than cody came around yami with the hammerfist. Ya, the referee should of stopped that when he first stepped in. A little confusing, but it was the right call.

Split second decisions have to be made by refs constantly. Mario faltered for a split second then when he saw the fighter wasn't coming back instantly stepped right in. If he'd have stepped in when he did initially everyone would be saying quick stoppage.
