Really ? Woodley dropped Thompson 2x, no one else has done that. He also dropped Maia, KOed Robbie in one round and has plenty of other finishes. Have you forgotten that Weidman got decked by an overhand right from Kevin Gastelum ? Woodley hits harder, he is also stronger and a legit NCAA D1 Wrestler with great TDD, honestly it is a bad matchup for Weidman

Sure, Woodley ain't perfect, and his right is starting to get overrated.

But the contenders who Woodley has already beaten in his 4 fight winstreak seemed more convincing and dangerous than the ones who are next in line.

Condit lost due to a leg injury... If you call what he did in those 3 fights a "Win", you have very low standards. After all how many champs have draws in title fights primarily due to inactivity?

Maia spent the entire fight shooting for takedowns (23 attempts I believe). The Thompson fights were plain awful.

How anyone can be a fan of Woodley based off his KO of Lawler (The highlight of his entire career) is puzzling to me.

He has 6 finishes in 18 wins... He has exactly one KO over a top 10 opponent.

Yes Weidman got decked by Gastelum once but as I recall he wiped him out otherwise.

Weidman would have a major size and reach advantage and exactly what good is Woodley's wrestling? He doesn't shoot for takedowns.

Weidman's probably the biggest top MW ever. Dude could easily fight at LHW.
