Honestly, the watering down of cards is getting ridiculous. There is nothing decent until UFC 239. Dana used to boast about UFC cards being stacked compared to boxing but now is following the same boxing model of only having 1-2 popular fights per card.

A lot of people I know are waning off UFC because of this. Fighters aren't being promoted or get an opportunity to shine as a consequence. Less people tune in (look at the low ppv numbers outside of Conor or JJ to a lesser extent) hell most of my workmates don't know anyone except Conor or Jones.

UFC's greed will allow BKFC will slowly take over the game!

You're right, there's like a card every week up until that Jones v Santos card and most of them have a couple decent fights scattered within, but are really not up to par otherwise. I don't see why there needs to be that many cards tbh.

Every card ends up having some great fights even if there isn't much name value, I watch every fight on every event and yeah there have been times I've been bored or disappointed but that's the same with every sport. Watch every football game or basketball game and you'll find lots of snoozers... At least with the UFC is a 15 minuet snooze fest, not a while event snooze fest... Usually any way

I don't really mind that much, sure there are less "stacked" cards but the big fights still get made (more or less) and we get to see more MMA in the mean time. I also miss having blowout stacked cards once a month but I like that I can see a decent card most weekends for free.

I get to see fights and fighters I probably wouldn't otherwise see, and there are still decent fights in there.

You already know UFC 237 gonna suck just because women are headlining. Still gonna watch Aldo vs Volkanovski though.

Are you from the future? Would love to save some time, please do us all a favour by telling us which fights turned out to be no good. Thanks for your help.

Would much rather watch great cards like UFC200

Guaranteed money from ESPN means they don't even need to try to make PPV's appealing anymore. Just throw some random bums and women in and that'll do.

238 is actually pretty enticing to me... so many WMMA fights on the undercard, but the main card is pretty deep - I'm excited for all those fights. Valentina will wreck Eye IMO but the other 4 Main Card fights are fun... and Cejudo/Moraes should be great.

I'm interested in every card. Maybe you just don't like to watch good fights TS. Name recognition has nothing to do with the quality of fights. Look at the lousy fight Conor put up against Khabib.

That's a great fight but honestly it's the only one on that card IMO. Brunson/Theodorou has the potential to be worst fight of the year unless my prayers are answered and Derek gets a first round KO win.

You're right. But Al is must-watch for me.
I'm not that satisfied with the state of the cards lately either, but last week's card delivered and so did Bellator 220 so I'm positive that the prelims and early prelims tomorrow might deliver.

But yeah, that Brunson vs Theodorou fight is horrible, especially because Brunson might be the only ranked guy in the division who might actually lose to Theo-bore-you
