How far do you think this promotion will go? To me they look quite promising. They have quite a few fighters making names for themselves like gaethje, branch, mareles. Also they have some good ufc cast aways like okami, fitch, sheilds, palhares. I feel in a short time with few events theyve built a pretty strong organisation. Looking at their recent payouts they look like they are willing to payoutt the money where its earned. How well established do you think this organisation will be in five years especially with the reebok deal upsetting fighters

Looks like they are going to last through the end of 2015.

So I was wrong back in January when I said they wouldn't make it til the end of the year.

I will admit, I was one of the doomsayers for WSOF last year, I could not picture them making it through 2015 at all. I like the WSOF, their last show was tits. But they're like the Impact Wrestling of MMA, thin roster and somehow manages to stay alive. Don't think they could go much longer than 10 more months. If it goes out of business then it goes out of business.

Prediction: By the time 2017 rolls around, we will be watching the WSOF's library on Fight Pass and guys like Moraes, Branch, Palmer, Ivanov, and Gaethje will be fighting in the UFC.

It's impressive they are holding, able to pay decently knowns fighters with basically zero financial backing and a bad TV deal.

They are doing good so far. With Bellator more actively pursuing free agents and the rise of Samurai FC how can all these big orgs maintain rosters?

There will be more due to Reebok/PED/IV stuff but will it be enough?

I don't get how their still around. They're the Bellator rejects of the UFC rejects.

They are doing it well, they don't have a big roster to put on more shows, at the time I think that is better for them to put shows with a good quality of fighters, and promote them, for example her own champs like Gaethje or Moraes, they can make tourneys 1 or 2 times a year, that always bring good ratings, and a little bit of trash talk off the executives like "Gaethje can kick the ass of RDA and so...." And catch a better TV deal!!!!

Is it true that WSOF will go to China and Japan? If so then yes they can still alive.

Not sure how much longer they'll be around, but I'll be watching since they have some decent fighters.

I was very surprised they lasted this long. They cant get too cocky and try doing these expansion shows though in different countries. We'll see. I think they'll coast for a bit with a sudden crash and burn mid 2016.

I don't know how you can look at WSOF and see a bright future.

CBS sports deal has been rumored to pay very little for the WSOF programming. Ratings aren't anything to get excited about. Attendance is disastrous for the most part. Good and bad news is they pay fighters decently on top of that.

Honestly I'm not sure were the money is continuing to come in from. Because who ever invested in it has to be losing there ass.

I dont know where the money comes from neither, but what I see is WSOF constantly evolving:
-They are making more and better events lately
-Their champions have proven to be legit, and have signed long term contracts recently
-They are adding depth to their roster with new signings, especially with top prospects from Europe. And Chael Sonnen in the mic, who probably gets more money for that than 90% of fighters in the roster lol
- Fighters dont criticize the organization as much as they did in the past
- It seem they have plans for the future, concerning amateur fights and expand the brand worldwide

I dont know where the money comes from, but talking just as a fan, the future is promising for WSOF

People have been predicting their imminent demise since they started.

Looks like they are going to make it to the end of 2015.

So they surpassed my prediction I had at the beginning of this year.

It is, but it's not the same promotion, essentially.

Source: Me, because I became the Event Coordinator and Assistant Matchmaker last week... and would never work with Ali.

Also this....

"Darren Owen, Director of Operations at World Series of Fighting Global, expanded on Wright’s comments adding, “We want to ensure that people understand who we are and what we are doing. Whereas the current team in place at WSOF in the United States will continue to run their operations, WSOF-GC is an entirely new organization associated with them by licensed name only. We don’t share the same staff, fighters, commentators, etc. We also aren’t in any competition with them and have a professional and personal interest in seeing them succeed as well.”
