I got two 6x12 mats from tiffin mats for home use. They are the roll up style mats.
I did not know about cold weather conditions on mats and I unrolled one of my mats which was probably sitting in 40 degree weather. It freaked me out when I was reading that if you do this you can permanently damage your wrestling mats.
Im pretty sure this isnt a 100 percent certainty is it? What kind of damage exactly will happen to the mat?
By the way this was the second time I unrolled the mat. The first time I unrolled it the mat was around room temperature.
Also, these roll up mats have their foam exposed on the bottom. I was wondering what do people do if this foam starts to tear off from abrasion etc... Do you have to get a new mat?? There are already tiny spots on the bottom of the mat where some of the foam has peeled off... im talking tiny though. It was probably from bumping the mat into a wall. Maybe I should get a mat storage cover?
The mats are good quality so I dont want anyone to think I bought some cheap ass mats. Trust me, they're good quality.
