New Lounge edition says hello. Poll says vote.

I was tired of my lady, we'd been together too long
Like a worn out recording of a favorite song
So while she lay there sleepin' I read the paper in bed
And in the personal columns, there was this letter I read

If you like piña coladas and getting caught in the rain
If you're not into yoga, if you have half a brain
If you like making love at midnight in the dunes of the cape
Then I'm the love that you've looked for, write to me and escape

I didn't think about my lady, I know that sounds kind of mean
But me and my old lady had fallen into the same old dull routine
So I wrote to the paper, took out a personal ad
And though I'm nobody's poet, I thought it wasn't half bad

Yes, I like piña coladas and getting caught in the rain
I'm not much into health food, I am into champagne
I've got to meet you by tomorrow noon and cut through all this red tape
At a bar called O'Malley's where we'll plan our escape

So I waited with high hopes and she walked in the place
I knew her smile in an instant, I knew the curve of her face
It was my own lovely lady and she said, "oh, it's you"
Then we laughed for a moment and I said, "I never knew"

That you like piña coladas and gettin' caught in the rain
And the feel of the ocean and the taste of champagne
If you like making love at midnight in the dunes on the cape
You're the lady I've looked for, come with me and escape

If you like piña coladas and getting caught in the rain
If you're not into yoga, if you have half a brain
If you like making love at midnight in the dunes on the cape
Then I'm the love that you've looked for, write to me and escape

I’ll talk to you if you’re intelligent enough
Like a voice chat? I don't do that much. I live close enough to a naval airbase that I can see f18s and shit taxiing down the runway less than a half mile away almost daily and it's so loud so consistently that I usually opt to walk a mile to catch a bus into town if I want to make a call I know will last more than a minute or two

My sweet child we can just text

Favourite Marley song. Just puts me in my happy place.

We'll be together
With a roof right over our heads
We'll share the shelter
Of my single bed
- me belting it out loud, proud and out of fucking key every time I hear this song

I regularly ride my bicycle In the rain. It sucks. Being wet and feeling gross while peddling. But it’s ok. I tell everyone this;

“sometimes we have to ride our bikes in the rain”

Do you like to ride your bike fast?

Imagine my surprise as a little immigrant kid when I met a lady called Pina. o_O

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piña

Piña (Tagalog pronunciation: [pɪˈnja] pi-NYAH) is a traditional Philippine fiber made from pineapple leaves. Pineapples were widely cultivated in the Philippines since the 17th century for weaving lustrous lace-like luxury textiles known as nipis fabric. The name is derived from Spanish piña, meaning "pineapple".

Funnily enough, my dog is named Jalapeno, and for short we call her Piña. She has her moments so the cunt part might not be too far off.
