it feels like i did 2 hours worth of pullups. damn. i've done SOHP with dumbbells for a long time and never even touched my lats.

"The Lats. On the Overhead Press you can apply hyperirradation using your lats. Pull your shoulders into their socket by flexing your lats. Imagine you have a tennis ball in your armpit and you

Hmm. I've never considered lat involvement in the press. Might give that a try.

wow bro did it feel like you did 500 sets of lat pulldowns? *slaps hand, bumps fist*

After working out in a college gym for a year, my tolerance for "bros" in the gym is abysmal.

watchoo talking about? i do db presses all the time and my lats always feel it. how was the weight in comparison to your db presses:?

OK since we're on technique for presses, I was wondering: at the top of the press, are your shoulders/traps shrugged towards your ears, or are they pulling back and down away from your ears (utilising lats/back stabilisers) ??

Somewhere in between, but more shrugged. Definitely NOT retracted and depressed.
