Wouldn't gastelum be better off at bellator?

The competition is supposed to be tougher at the UCF, so yeah.

I agree with most of it. But he’s 1-4 in his last 5. 3-4 in his last 7. Lost a title fight against Izzy, no shame in that. Lost a shitty point fight to till, not much he could do with Tills length and reluctance to engage. Overlooked Hermansson and got caught, by a great submission specialist. Ok 3 losses in a row, needs a win, gets it against heinisch. Great, back in the W column, he beats Bobby, he’s right back in the title picture. Sad thing is, he wasn’t good enough to beat Rob. I say let him run it back with hermansson and prove that was a fluke. Then run it back with till if he thinks he can beat him, right back in it again. It’s all about what you’ve done lately. He gets 3-4 good wins he’s back at it. And he has the ability. He doesn’t need to leave the promotion, I don’t think any of us really know what Kelvin’s training or mindset is, but you gotta think he’s gotta be working on that fight IQ.
You're also neglecting to mention the fact that he has 0 wins over current top 10 fighters (which is saying a lot considering the state of this division) and 5 of his last 7 wins are over guys who are currently retired (and 1 of the last 2 is Jacare who should be retired). For a 29 year old guy, that is insane.

The UFC should throw him a bone and get him a few tune up fights to salvage his career but if he were smart, he should bring in a top conditioning/nutrition coach and get himself down to 170 where he belongs before it is too late. He could easily be a top contender there if he got his shit together

He’s a title contender at 185.

No he is not. Not in any single sense of the meaning of "title contender."

He has an overall losing record of 4-5-1, he's not even a .500 middleweight.

Kevlin has won ONE of his last FIVE fights.

I don't know what kind of mushrooms you are on but they sound awesome my friend.

He fought for the belt 4 fights ago and just fought the number one contender. I would say he’s pretty close regardless of it. Idk if he’s got naked pics of Dana or what.

He's since been on a non-stop loosing streak.

Let me say it again for you - he's 4-5-1.

He's not even a .500 fighter.

Everyone beats Kelvin. He is not a title contender in any sense of the word.

Yet here he is fighting the #1 contender. And then fighting for the title as recently as 2 years ago. So obviously someone likes keeping him in the mix regardless of W/L. He seems like a guy that is going to get a title shot off a loss. Idk why your so upset about it. Kelvin is one of the better talents in the division and he keeps getting top level opponents regardless of his record. He’s not a title contender as in having a long winning streak and deserving one, but he’s always ready to bang on a moments notice.

If you trip and fall into a last minute replacement fight you don't deserve, its considered good luck.

Unfortunately for Kelvin, he proved exactly why he didn't/couldn't earn that type of booking, and got the dogshit beaten out of him in a shut out.

I like Kelvin. He's wasting his talent though at middleweight, where he has a losing record and is a few more loses away from getting cut.
