If you chose president of the US you are beholden to all laws and regulations that exist (can't do anything you want) and for arguments sake you have the position for 8 years. If you chose dictator of North Korea you can do whatever you want (in this scenario) but if you fuck up badly you might have a coup on your hands and be executed by anti-aircraft guns (like his defense minister for falling asleep during a NK military ceremony).
Take hold of NK. Step 1: Normalize relations with the US and reopen the embassy. Step 2: Ask that the first US ambassador to NK be Mark Green. Step 3: Allow SK news media to trickle slowly. Step 4: Allow family members from both sides of the DMZ to be able to visit each other with no strings attached. Step 5: Have a summit between China, Japan, and SK. Step 6: Allow Aid from China, South Korea, Japan and the US to enter the country. Step 7: Allow the Kims to live in exile within Vietnam. Step 8: Allow the US embassy to have a few FEMA satellite field office. Step 9: Abdicate the "throne" Step 10: UN monitors the first election. Then, run for US president. After all, I was born in the US. I'm older than 35. I've lived in the US for more than 14 years. Step 1: Appoint my cabinet members from the organizations they will be overseeing (i.e. an actual FSO as Sec of State). Step 2: Make sure there is 50/50 split between Rs and Ds. Step 3: Meet with members of congress weekly. Step 4: Don't run for reelection. Retire and write my memoirs MLB commissioner.
President. Serve my term (or two) than retire in a somewhat normal country and not that shithole NK. Dictator in Nk would be for life, or until you're assassinated. Plus asian chicks aren't that hot and there's much more choices in America.
Dictator of the USA. You can make a ton of money off that position and you're protected when you leave office. More money being Supreme Leader of North Korea, but your safety would be in jeopardy all the time.
China definitely has a lot of sway over NK, but not as much as folks think. They don't want NK to collapse so they are limited with what they can do.

I would be US president and become a dictator or at least an authortarian who rigs it and disobeys US constitution and serves 2 more terms but change term length to 6 years each. So i will serve 20 years then step down become vice president and run from there. Or implemwnt a system like china has with the plotiburo. I can sit there and someone who follows my ideology will be the face head after i step down. I feel 20 to 30 years is an ideal reign. If he was smart he could have even more power on a global scale. KJU could make north korea as some essential mid economy of east asia.
I would go for dictator in NK because being POTUS seems like a horrible job, almost everyone do it just to get paid afterwards. Being dictator you have real power and have all the money you could ever want. Like other people wrote in the thread I'd try to open up shit though and actually try to make the country prosper and go down as the GOAT.
