Would you like to see MMA in the Olympics despite obvious issues?

Such as UFC/Bellator and other big organisations preventing their fighters from competing.

Despite the level of competitors I think it could be a good way to forge new talents especially from countries where MMA is under developed. And give some of the talents a platform to jump to the top major organisations.

Also bringing MMA onto Olympics would popularize the sport even further.

I cant see why not personally.

No, UFC / Bellator have been corrupted to the point of no repair, there needs an massive overhaul in Judging, Scoring, Reffing before MMA could ever be considered an Olympic Sport.

Legitimacy has been tossed out the window in favor of temporary monetary gains and profits.

We need a great leader who can make sound decisions and not be corrupted by the money, someone who simply loves the sport as it is and wants to see MMA develop on its own accord and not for personal financial gains..... when that person comes around we'll have hope (not Obama hope, but real hope)....till then expect more of the same, more favoritism, rematches, hype, and boobaclide bullshit.

It would be like boxing there would be no ZFC or Bellator fighters competing only amateurs anything else would be retarded and the UFC and bellator wouldn't even allow their guys to fight.

It would be amateurs only same as in boxing

Olympic boxing is a joke, I can't even imagine olympic MMA. It would be terrible.

Nope, only real sports deserve to be there.

I couldn't imagine how pussified it would be in the olympics.

No but BJJ should be there.

It would have the same results and be as boring as Mundials.

Look at the martial arts turned into Olympic sports. Olympic Taekwondo is a disgrace. The kiddie version. And Olympic Judo is unbearably boring. Olympic boxing has regressed massively since they started rewarding the European slapping style.

MMA has no place in the Olympics.

Yes i would, but amateur MMA like its done with boxing. Would be a great way for young fighters to get some world-class experience without getting into the whole business side of things.

USA and Brazil would win every medal everytime. It would be stupid.

No.

Injury city, teams would need to have like 10 alternates per weight-class.

Especially if they're fighting 5-6 times over the course of two weeks.

Pretending that this is even a remote possibility, Olympic MMA would be awful.

Have you watched the clusterfuck that is the Olympic boxing tournament?

Running a tournament in the time allotted means changing the rules dramatically to minimize damage to the participants, which is a problem with sports like boxing and MMA in which damage should be one of the primary objects of the game.

Professional prize fighting (whether boxing, MMA, thai fighting, or kickboxing) is a 'sport' defined by evil intentions. It doesn't work very well with those evil intentions removed.

However, as the first reply stated, jiu jitsu definitely belongs in the Olympics and would actually be a better fit than taekwondo and boxing in a lot of ways.

Don't see how it would be any fun. Olympic boxing is like fencing with hands. It is a touch competition. What would the scoring be for MMA? Grab ass?

No. Not mma, but I'd love to see juijitsu in te Olympics for sure.

I'd like to see wrestling return to the Olympics instead of the idiotic bullshit "sports" like curling.

Ehh, they would probably have them wearing those big red suits they use at rape prevention classes.

Would rather see no gi grappling similar to ADCC or something akin to combat sambo
