Would you guys prefer Wolverine in a R-rated movie?

Everyone would prefer Wolverine to be brutal wouldn't they?

They should only have two ratings on films really - suitable for children and suitable for adults.
No in between, no fucking around and it's up to the adult if they take a child to see an adult film.

In a similar comparison, the walking dead, a show on television, that is not any kind of HBO, has gore and cuss words.

I remember movies getting edited for amc. Now, i see more blood than in the rated R movie The Thing. And words like shit, pussy, asshole etc are no longer refused. All were missing are nude scenes and the words fuck/cunt.

That said, the wolverine movies are tamer than a show on public television.

A better script in general would be a good start for a movie about Wolverine. Origins and The Wolverine were both horrible, the rest of the X-Men movies were either good or great.

The very first X-Men was a great introduction to the Wolverine character. So good that they based a whole ton of crap movies on the character because he was so instantly well-received.

X-Men 2 was okay. I thought X-Men 3 was the worst movie of anything related to the X-Men or Wolverine.

The Wolverine in Japan was dumb. Wolverine goes to Japan, whoopee...

The Origins Wolverine movie...honestly, I thought that they were onto something really good with that storyline, but screwed it up in the execution. They could take that exact plot, give it to another director (with a tightened up script) and I think it would be a really good movie.

Maybe a Wolverine porn? Might already be out there.
Instead of adamantium claws, big black vibrating dildos come out of his hands.
He'd be very frusttating for a dominatrix, they can hurt him all night but he keeps on regenerating.

It will never happen. Wolverine is too iconic, and too well known by little kids. No way they are going to throw away dollars to make a better product.

I'd kill for a MAX Comics-inspired Punisher movie. An R-rated Wolverine would be pretty dope, too. I got into that MAX Wolverine series, but stopped keeping up.

But yeah, I'm not holding my breath.

Yes, i would like to see a berzerking wolvie movie.

I have yet to see one Wolverine or Punisher movie that rose above mediocrity. Hollywood has not gotten it right so far.

I actually liked the first punisher alot more than the two never ones (might be nostalgia speaking)

edit

hope this works

I was just talking about this with someone yesterday. Too much money would be lost if they went up to R.

Fuck yeah he needs an R-rated movie. The closest we got was the unrated cut of The Wolverine, but even that wasn't all-out R-rated shit.

Punisher would be cool rated R. Dredd is what Punisher could be. Give me sequel to Dredd dammit.

Wolverine is a boring ass overhyped super hero that was never that great in print to begin with. It is like everyone who thinks Wolverine is hot shit are also the same people who have never read his trades.

I can give you a bunch of stuff that I would like instead of Wolverine.

Sandman ***
Saga ******
Ronin ***
Another Dredd
Punisher
A Frank Miller Batman
Starman *******
Any Criminal arch
Anything that Sean Philips and Ed Brubaker have collaborated on
East of West
Black Science
Low
Moore's run on Swamp Thing

There is so much good material just sitting there waiting for someone to grab it. Why are we wasting time on a franchise that centers around a character that isn't that interesting to begin with. I drink a lot and get really mad sometimes and I got claws and really strong bones. Oh and I am a loner who doesn't know where I came from. BFD

Any Criminal arch

You mean a movie about a super villain?

I wonder what kind of story they could try this with, and if the character would be villainous from start to finish.

Yes, R, make it extremely brutal. And cast a new Wolverine; the guy we have now is to civil. Get some guy who kicks ass and chops off limbs. I hate Fox action scenes. Winter Soldier uped the ante, and it looks like Batman will kick ass in the new film. Make a Wolverine like that.

I know he's in everything nowadays but Tom Hardy would be a cool choice. Wolverine is supposed to be short, stocky and aggressive anyway not tall and laid-back like Hugh Jackman.
