I saw this story the other day and I wonder if sherbros would take their shoes off when asked? I been to Japan a few times and I always found it weird to take my shoes off for some places like department store changing rooms or anytime there was a straw mat. I always did it without much fuss. Only time I felt weird doing it was when I was out all day and got caught up in the rain. My feet were smelly...

This lady refused to take her shoes off. Her defense was that she cannot take her shoes off due to foot pain. I think there is some religious issue with leaving footwear on. This video came out and people are harassing her. Are people overreacting or she is at fault? Oh yea wood or no?

Wearing shoes indoors in a person’s house is such a strange concept to me. It’s not something that’s done in Canada.
Really? It’s commonplace in America. You ask them to take their shoes off but you offer the HIV community slippers to them. Some people don’t invest in the community house shoe so you wear shoes in their home

of course I take of my shoes when entering other peoples home.
I am not a heathen

I always take my shoes off but I also get sexual arousal from people having to smell my feet so it's not like I'm a good person

I take my shoes off when i get into a house. Only time i keep them on is if i'm helping them move.

And that woman looks hot enough, i would....but she seems pretty entitled, which is a trait i don't find attractive.

When I went to San Francisco, there was so much human shit in the streets, I left my shoes outside my hotel room. Many others did the same. I am respectful of other nations customs when I can be. In India I wore no deodorant and often took dumps right in the street.

If i walk into your house with shoes im probably robbing you. There is no other alternative that comes to mind where i would walk in with my dirty shoes with no regard for your house.

First thing I do when I come indoors is take my shoes off
I don't feel comfortable otherwise. Husband unless sleeping always has his shoes on, I find it really weird.

But in terms of respecting other cultures, damned right. I have no desire to go to the middle east but I'd be damned sure to cover up in the way I covered up in The Vatican. You're a tourist.

Yeah I would. Not a big deal. If it was, i'd go somewhere else. The comments played in that video are hilarious though.
