if we're talking about fluke knockouts, the Silva front kick looked mighty flukey..I mean that move isn't even design to knock people out. I'm not saying Silva wouldn't have won otherwise but we would never know why don't we lobby for a rematch

Doubtful.

If Vitor had caught Anderson to win the first then yes.

But since Anderson seems to be the superior fighter in every area, him catching Vitor may not happen again so quick but will likely happen.

Anderson was known for whooping on Vitor when they used to train together, I think he's just got him figured out.

Furthermore, Anderson has made a career out of finishing his opponents in crazy ways:

^He learned that move from the movie "Ong Bak", and trained it in secret because his trainers told him not to use it in a fight.

And this is a jab while he is pulling back. Who else can do that in MMA?

You might as well say this was a fluke:

Given we have 4 different people who knows.

Yes Vitor is a great wrestler who was injured the first time around. This is a great comparison to make.

It very well could be, been saying it for a while, flash KO's int he 1st are not indicative of how the fight would go. I personally would love to see a rematch.

How did it look flukey? Vitor looked out of his element in the speed department, the only true asset he might have had on paper in a striking battle with Anderson.

It doesn't matter if the front kick wasn't even designed to knock people out (which seems to be utter horseshit to me, if you actually fought you would know that it's easily possible to get a lot of power behind them), it's still what happened because Anderson made it so.

How many first round flash KO's does Vitor have?

It's Anderson. Highlight reel KOs in the 1st round are his thing.

This.

If it hadn't been the front kick, it would have been something else. I can't think of any area where I would favor Vitor.

I am actually surprised than only a handful of Sherdoggers jumped on Vitor's wagon after Sonnen lost for the 2nd time.

Hes a lot stronger. If the motherfucker would learn how to use a gameplan I could easily see him controlling the fight on the ground and either GnP to a KO/TKO or submitting him.

Come at me bro

Actually I honestly think that Vitor still is a threat to AS, or even the biggest. Maybe except for Weidman.

I don't consider that a "fluke" KO at all coming from someone with the well-documented history of unusual strike finishes as Silva.

What is a fluke? A fluke is the Vitor punch thrown at Randy Couture that cut Randy's eyelid! THAT is a fluke. Nothing anyone trains for.

Front kick to the face is a legitmate striking technique and clearly, when applied with precision and timing (an area that Anderson excels at), can have devastating results. It's that most other fighters don't have that amount of accuracy and usually throw either as a defensive maneuver or throw it on a prayer hoping it might hit something. Condit has thrown a few that way during past fighters (GSP).

If I remember correctly, Silva set it up with with a couple low kicks then went to the face, leaving Vitor reaching to block a low kick, with face totally unprotected.

Also, the level of committment Silva made to that kick, if you watch in slo-mo, shows he was clearly putting everything behind it, not just throwing out a jab.

Vitor, like most other strikers, with Silva, has at best, a puncher's chance.

In fact I was really hoping he would come in to the first fight and shoot straight for a takedown. Do that a few times and get Silva expecting it to set up for a KO on the feet.

A lot stronger? LOL and Bonnar was "Alot Stronger".

I thought thread vas Vitor Wanderlei. We were robbed of their second fight.
