Mayberry is the Jack-if-all-trades subforum. We don't need Sherdog getting too cliquey, where you'll have to be an expert to enter a thread and contribute to the discussion. Don't get me wrong, I like the niche subforums. I just think there should always be a place for general discussion, where people with different interests can exchange ideas.

Do people come to Mayberry to converse about anything but movies?

Since I don't go to movies, I don't see them till a year or more after release so I usually avoid threads about recent movies.

I might watch one, maybe two feature films in an entire year. I'm the boring, dorky documentary type.

The Mayberry used to have a lot of different discussion. I realize that we've probably run out of things to talk about over the years, but whenever I come here probably about three quarters of the first page of some kind of movie review.

I usually have to peel back two or three pages to find a cool topic.

I think that would TKO this place. @Dragonlordxxxxx puts in major work that all of Mayberry benefits from.

There are still the odd philosophical threads, weird stuff and "ripped from the headlines" discussion, but I shudder to think how fast this place would devolve into a cesspool of pic-less relationship threads and non-sequiturs posted from the toilet.
