I'm actually surprised that Ronda had a way bigger impact when she lost.

Probably it is because Conor was winning most of the fight. Or people realized that Conor is a usually a great guy and accepted the lose. I don't know.

Well, after all he's said about panic wrestlers in that past he goes and shoots a desperation TD against Nate. Shooting a kneejerk TD on a Diaz bro. is pretty much conceding defeat in and of itself.

Yeah, he wouldn't have gotten as much criticism if he had went out on his shield. That doesn't mean it isn't understandable why he did it, most fans would easily choose giving up an easy choke over getting battered to a T/KO. It's just Conor having his words come back to bite him.
