No, but he would be a sizeable force and could become champion. The disparity in skills between Ronda and the rest of her division is exponentially larger than the men's heavyweight division.

Ogawa, Yoshida, Nastula and Ishii didn't.

All way superior judokas to Ronda and they all fought at HW.

Ishii is strong as f*ck too:

heavyweight punching power is too much of a factor to assume that he could/would

If that guy has a decent chin he'd retire undefeated.

Potentially. Hell even if he trained for 5 years he'd still be younger than the entire current top 10 at HW. HW is as wide open as its ever been, I mean Cain V had people calling him the HW GOAT simply because he could outpace everyone and beat the same few people over and over again.

I know, there's not even a slim chance with not even money being a factor since he's making enough already.

Get him at any elite gym and I think he could be champ by the time he's 30. That's more so a testament to how weak HW is and the fact that in a few years most of the top HW fighters will be 40 or older.

Ok i have done judo in Paris for a few years, and one of my good friends sparred (don't know the right term in english, rolled maybe ?) with him a lot, as he was in the same club as him.

The dude is a monster. Incredible physique, the speed of a middleweight, very strong mentally. Had he been in the UFC, i don't know how he would have done.. Punching a guy in the face, striking defense, requires technique and fluidity that Judo does not teach.

Maybe he would have been good, maybe he would have been a Lesnar, or maybe not. Only thing we know is that the guy is a sweetheart. He would never fight inside the octagon.

His main problem is that he's ripped at 290 pounds.

He could do well, but the skill gap between Ronda and the division is bigger than the skill gap between Riner and the HW division would be.

Also, being a great grappler doesn

    This

Not to mention we don't know how he reacts to getting hit..
And HW male division is full of people with 1-punch knockout power

He could do great though if he can take a hit, he has everything from size to technique, great reach and explosivness..

I certainly would love to see him give it a try but I doubt it happens as the guy once said he would try himself in MMA once he won Olympic Gold but the French Judo Fed immediatly put him under huge pressure and threw tons of money at him so they don't lose their Superstar..
( it's to be know that the FFJ, french judo fed, is the main reason why MMA still isn't legal in France as they are doing everything possible to prevent it from happening and they have tight/powerful political bonds/realtions)
